II) Current Progress
Currently, Wan is working on finishing up the Overworld, and while he does that myself, Eagle, and a LAT or two will work on filling in the towns. We plan on buying a server soon, and when we do we will start scripting the small functions we need.

The server will be mainly PK/Spar based. However, an atmosphere will be set up, and a storyline will be set so that any individual player[s] can make the server completely RP based. The server we can most compare it to, as far as RP atmosphere, is the old G2K1.

III) Hirings
We are only looking for a few members to add to our team. We are looking for a few LATs to help with the insides of buildings and the insides of towns. Also, we will eventually need NATs to help with the systems for jobs/ets. We don't have a defined/globalized 'test' that people who tryout must complete, rather once you express interest (preferred method via forums) then we will give you a short project to complete.

Not everyone, obviously, will have to take a test. If you have made a good name for yourself in your area of development, then it would only be a waste of time.

what would be nice, is if it wasnt the default tileset >.> ...I mean it looks like there's some originality in there, but...still...default tileset...I dunno it just bugs me.

It isn't the default tileset. It's a mix between the old and the new tilesets with some new tiles added on the side.

Dont get me wrong and all I think it looks cool. I just think that island is to curvy. Like a giant ink blot...Reminds me of UN but even UN isnt that curvy. I vote lower the curves down alittle. Cool though.

Well, I started out with a basic design. I think I have a copy somewhere of the map when I first actually got started.

That's how I originally started on the map, I just advanced from there.

The huge cliff in the middle, I got the idea from EoA, at the time I was workin' on EoA, I loved how they did them cliffs, so I got Maximus to teach me how to do them ( He used the same style ). I picked it up and started to experiment, I ended up with the huge cliff in the middle.

I then got Chicken and Wouter to help me, Wouter died out a while after. He did do some towns and gave me inspiration and motivation to carry out the project. Us 3 were basically the management of the server so far, I didn't plan to actually make this in to a server. I then got some plans together, basic things like quests and jobs. I then met Thallen, I hadn't seen him in ages so we got chatting and he ended up joinin' the team. He helped me with a lot of the documents like Quests, Currency, Housin' and a lot more. We fed of each other I guess, ideas just kept comin'. We soon didn't talk much, he was hardly on AIM so I guess he went again. Me and Chicken still talk, it's pretty much daily. Just a few days ago he helped me with a town

I didn't do a lot of development after that, I couldn't be botherd. I then started playing Graal again, I loved the new Unholy Nation Overworld, I got the idea of doing the cliffin' from UN. They made it cool again. Ya'll can say UN is ****, but I love it. It's given me inspiration, If you take a closer look at some of the stuff I guess you could see it too.

The water cliffin' didn't take me long at all. I did some levels like it on Zhalla, and on several other maps so I know from past experience how to do it fast with little effort. I started it on one day, and finished the day after.

So this has been about a 2 year on and off project?

Cause when I look at the design of this playerworld I can tell it has been worked on for a long time the coast lines detail alone.

Nope, started this year.

He's a thread I made a bit ago, I posted the map and little info' on it.

After I created that thread, I didn't do anything with it for about a month. I then started editin' it bit by bit. Nothin' spectacular. I then got talking to Wouter and he loved it, so we decided to make somethin' from it. I didn't level make fully, I only level make when I'm bored. That's what I'm doin' right now. If I have nothing to do I level make.

I'd say I've been workin' on it for about 2-3 months on and off.

Here's a map update:

The new town, bottom right was created by me and Crono (Gerami) long before the server was in production.

The town at the top, I edited. Me and Mykel started editing it yesterday. Since he's the RP manager we decided to have a town dedicated to RPing. There will also be another town dedicated to RPing.

I'm in the process of doing a town old school, with Eagle. Haven't started fully developin' it but it's in production.

I've got a week off from College starting on Monday, so I plan to have all the towns detailed during that week. After that week the map will be coming together, hopefully. We plan to get a server and start workin' on the quests and other things.

Playerworld88? Ah, I'll stop by later to check it out. Maybe re-name the playerworld to "Versus" if not done already.

Good luck on the project, it looks great! Hopefully another great classic styled playerworld to add as an addition to the Classic tab.

I believe Stefan changed it. The server name is Versus.

Well, i'd figure we could use this thread for an update or two..

Our staff list has grown a lot throughout the past week, and it seems that we finally have a full staff team. Wan is still working on the overworld and the Dev team is hard at work with other things. These other things mostly consist of jobs. Here is my estimation of how far our jobs have come along:

Wood-Cutting: 90%
Mining/Crafting: 10%
Grape Picking: 65%
Mushroom Picking: 20%
Fishing: 5%

No other jobs have currently been started. Also, we have not yet started the housing system or Pubs. More information to come in a week.

My guess is it had something to do with Yen.

Anyway, yeah, things are coming along extremely fast right now. I hope to have the jobs done by the middle of November, and then start to work on quests as the OW is finished. An early release date would be sometime around Christmas, but that is very premature at this point, so don't count on it.
