Making Map / Overworld...

Yeah, this is a weird question coming from me especially since I wrote the tutorial featured in a stickied thread on this forum (http://forums.graalonline.com/forums...threadid=35370) but, how is it we're supposed to generate maps now?

I've got the recent level generator (2003 version), and I've made my overworld image, generated the levels, now I'm trying to create a map image for me so I can view it all in offline mode and warp around where I want to edit...

What I was wondering was: Why did it give me a .gmap, and what am I supposed to use that for?

Does anyone have that old .txt file-creator (I think Moon Goddess had it originally), so I don't have to go and manually create the text file myself. x.x

Thanks for the help. :x

Actually, I got it to work.

You need to open the .gmap file in a text program and take the levels-list and put them into a .txt file so you can generate the map image and link the levels.

Just figured I'd let everyone unaware now know.

:O dude. loadmap mapname.gmap;

:X you don't need the txt files anymore and you don't use setmap
It's a pretty good thing, and I believe you generate it then open the map.gmap and edit the map and minimap thing to what the image name is. Not 100% sure about that part.

no one told me about the loadmap command, and I was searching for one thinking there was one. I went onto about 5 playerworlds and asked staff/managers how to get it to work, and they told me about the "old" setmap command.

Oh well, I got setmap to work. ;x

How do you get the minimap image to work now?
