First GFX of A sword

I made this yesterday and I call it teh "Long Dagger"
It is the first sword I ever made... And too me, I think it looks good compared to others xP
Constructive Critism?
(BTW: I did it in Paint, and it is completly hard trying to do the diagnol way, any suggestions on other programs?)

Hmm...
I was either going to call it short sword or long dagger... and I thought it was to little for a sword.
EDIT: I made another sword and I call it teh mystic blade.
Constructive critism?
ONE MORE EDIT: I have a question, how do I make it transparent?

First one has obvious hilt length errors, and is abit plain.
Second one is eye-catching, but it looks kindof .. well, it's just really rough.

Use higher zoom, get the pixel count down, and factor in perspective. It's fine if the up+right LOOKS longer just because of the perspective, but it doesn't fit right now.

I don't really know if that's the correct usage of words, but I'm not smart in that kindof way. =p

U go all the way, and try and do pixel count, but it is just imposiible to make them look the same becuase the pixels are different. Does anyone know a program that flips it all of the ways?

You should do some research on sword craft

They looks O.K... very plain, lacks a lot of detail which would require indepth pixelling skill - but the general shape of the second one is neat

Shading. Right now it's kindof more of an outline that you used the "fill" option to color. You need to get it shaded so that the edges look right in the given perspective.

If you need help with that, ask anybody here. They'll probably give you lots of good tutorials, im too lazy frankly.

That's GIF to MNG, you should use some program like IrfanView or Giffy to change it to .GIF without colour loss/change/whatever and then run it trough 'that Graal thing'.
