Client Fuse

Here's another great idea I had, which I thought would be very useful.. It should be possible to have a "client generator" similar to gif2mng I guess, where you click and drag all of your playerworld files into it, and it creates a client for your playerworld.. So when you open the PWName.exe, it will go straight into the onlinestartlocal.nw of your playerworld.

This can be useful for making 30 day trials of playerworlds, for people who haven't registered yet so that they can have more of a reason to register. "You have 27 days left of your 30 day trial"

It could also be useful for sending playerworlds you make on your own to friends, or even making your own playerworld client that you could put on your website and start a little community about your game.. I know Cyberjooers probably wouldn't be so happy about that, but that would be a great thing to have available.... Plus there could be advertisements for Graal on it, so people would know where it came from and be directed here, thus a higher player count.

The idea was for it to be an offline thing, but how do you think it would work as an online thing? I just thought it would be nice for offline..

Yes they could - they would be in a text file or something that you also drag onto the convertor thingy.

Everything that works online would work offline, but without the crippling lag..

I like the idea of being able to get 1 player games like that. It would probably help Graal get quite a few new users. Able to download the 1 player games for free, but if you want to play online or make your own 1 player game in Graal, you'd have to get gold/vip whatever.

I do not believe this is a good idea.
People would make whole games from them, and people wouldn't play GraalOnline.

Graal would be online and the client games wouldn't. I'm sure if the people liked the offline experience, they would try out the online experience.. There are still many things that need to be done to actually make Graal look worth buying though..

No, it wouldn't be a cheap little webpage with a java applet.. It would be like having a graal client for your playerworld - the playerworld files would be inside the exe, so people couldn't get them... Like if I opened graal2001.exe and it went straight into offline mode of graal kingdoms.

Somehow, I'm not seeing this idea taking off.

None of the ideas in the future improvement forums will probably take off - that's why they're here and not on graal. It's fun making them though. "In a perfect world" hehe.

Yes yes, I can see what you mean.
Its a good idea... I just can't see it ever happening.

The bound playerwould reminds me of a downloadable zelda game, where there's an editor you can use to make the levels and items and such, and you can put it all in one group to load in the client. Great fun, I must say. Its like designing your own Zelda game.
What fan wouldn't want to do that?
