Graphic Problem..

I know this doesn't have the do with Graphic Design, but it has to do with graphics. When I try to save an image that is .gif, .png, or .jpg, it will ONLY let me save it as a .ART or .BMP. The quality really SUCKS when I save it like this....is their an option to like turn that off or some way around it? The problem has always been there but it really ticked me off when I tried to save an image unixmad posted (http://forums.graalonline.com/forums...53#post1022453).
Also while you are here.....how many pixels to an inch?

download fireworks 4...... or a bmp to gif converter...

I have fireworks 3 and dreamweaver 3 from when one of my old teachers burned me a copy of it. It's just an incovience.

Um dont totally understand the problem, but I can tell you that the number of pixels per inch is going to very depending on resolution, screen size, and screen settings (considering you can stretch and skew the display).
