Project Metroplis

This is the Project Metroplis hiring thread here I will fill you in a little about the project and what staff I need and how you can join the development team. Please do not post spam here as this is a seirous thread.

All I am at liberty to tell you about the project is that it will be a modern themed player world with an original style of playing never tried before to date. The whole world will be very detailed and will NOT FOCUS on player killing with guns or by other means.
A tile set is in the works and much more is on the way.

Two things will be posted in this thread. First a small preview of the tiles and secconedly a little concept art. I will show you these in later on in the thread. But now without delay the staff positions open on the team.

-Web Designer

-Level Development Team

-Graphics Development Team

-Coding Development Team

-Sound Effects Team

-Music Team

If you wish to join the team send me an e-mail at [email protected] for a further application.

I agree some of the stuff is out of proportion... Little tip, on the mousehole, you should try and make it more jaggy. Real mouseholes aren't smooth and perfect like the one's on Tom & Jerry. They are just chewed through holes in the wall.

Koni - it doesn't need to resemble a real one... Tom and Jerry are cartoons, so is Graal. Sorta.

Only thing i'd change is to make the wall outlet smaller, it looks like it's the size of an 8x10 picture hanging there... same for the light switch.

Feels like the walls should be larger. It might fix the proportion problem also.

I don't really like the sideways power outlet, but that might just be me. Sideways might even be better if you're going to script npcs that look like cords line up to them

I think when it comes to how the power outlets are arranged, it all depends where in the world you are located, and how old is your property. When I used to live in a very old house as well as when I would travel, I would see the sideways power outlets. Whenever I was back in the US or in newer building, I usually would find the vertical power outlets.

Yeah I've never seen sideways outlets either. But I'm sure they exist so oh well! heheh

The clothing he is wearing is quite outdated though... If it's a present day server, that guy would seriously get laughed at.

The outlets in my house are vert. But in metroplis they will be varied depending on exactly where you are.

His clothing is based on the style of his location. Its not exactly present day it is rather present day mixed with a fantasy world. There will be things that are very similar to modern times and thing that are not.

Do not expect to see all the same style clothing ethier people will have different stlyes from city to city including clothing, the food they eat, the products they produce, arcitecture, and much more.

The mouse hole thing isnt from era at all, it's from tritan but I wont go into that. I will leave it at this: It was made because it will serve a very annoying purpose. And mouse holes are a very general thing belonging to no one.(except of course the mice who infest them )
