Adopt An Opinion!

What do you think will increase Graal's revenue as a whole? Post some ideas or general suggestions that will provide more play for the pay. There is no limitations. This could range from a new tileset, new policies, and so on.

For example...

I think there should be another release of Graal 1.27. There could be some restrictions and limits to it though, that way Graal won't lose money. Maybe you can use it for a certain amount of time, kinda like the Playerworld renting options, coming out?

Well, feel free to add onto the list. I miss when Graal used to be fun and more community-like.

Can't do anything real drastic, but raising standards all around might encourage more people to play. Of course, it will cause others to leave, but that is thier problem because they won't accept those kinds of changes. While this game as a whole can function, with its major control base being run by teens between 13 and 17, it doesn't help for making good decisions about the directions in which things should go.

This is not to say that Cyberjoyuers (sp?) has made bad decisions or that there aren't young persons capable of making better choices and trying to gain a bigger scope of things. I just think its time to give a reasonable balance of control back to Cyberjoyuers. Its a good thing to have the players take a part in choosing the directions in which to go in, but because many of us are guilty of being selfish, we tend to do and say things that will only better ourselves rather than everyone as community. I'm guilty of this too a lot of times.

I think the decisions with how Graal Kingdoms looks and so forth is a good idea, I just wish many others would do the same thing too. But until many of us, including myself, stop being self-centered and immature and start focusing our concerns on how our actions affect the community, many things will not rise above the comfort zone of mediocrity. If Graal as a whole can break past that, it may attract more talent to help improve and help rise even higher. I think it would be a wonderful achievement to be able to walk into a store and see Graal on the shelf with other games.

Chances of that happening anytime soon are pretty much nil. Not many people are willing to sacrifice the money for Graal when a good portion of it (at this point in time) does not have very appealing standards and the community is not very close together. Of course, its impossible to be perfect in either of those things, but it is not impossible to for them to reach a high level of excellence.

I say promote it more...affilliate Graal with popular websites and other online games and you do the same for them. Another thing is holding like maybe a monthly tournament on Classic for a free VIP account and I'm sure quite a few of the people once they get a taste of the p2p servers they would be dying for more and may possibly upgrade to a gold.

Perhaps a system to pay for those who cannot get a credit card - I know a lot of German players who cannot upgrade because of that.
A less strict banning police - people who criticize are just trying to help, after all, and will pay again after their accounts run out.
Some updates for Bomy Moon and Adventure by Stefan - a large portion of the playerbase was lost due to the neglection of these.
A more powerful PWA that can work without having to wait for higher admins.

You had some good ideas.
I especially like the idea of the PWA team not having to wait for higher admins, at least to put up a private server... The higher admins could then approve it to be on the server list? It would still be best if the "Player world administration" team could administrate without having two other adminstrators of the administrators.

There's a headache for ya

There should be someone who updates/coordinates server plans for Bomy Moon and Graal The Adventure. Those are supposedly the godseeds of Graal, anyways. Shouldn't they be more attentive towards those playerworlds, being as they were the guinea pigs that gave birth to what we see now, Graal Kingdoms and all the unneccessary negelection running afoot.

There's a good roleplaying server, but there's other types of servers that should be that high of quality. That way there's something for everyone.

I wasn't able to upgrade to Gold until I got a check card.... but I don't know what other payment methods are out there. Mailing in money orders might work, I don't know......

Definitely ADVERTISING. We need advertising. Nothing big, just a few well-placed ads on major gaming-related websites.

EDIT Brainstorm!!! How about if Cyberjouers (sp!) asked on the upgrade form, "How did you learn about Graal?" and if they put down someone's account name, that person gets a little credit towards his next Gold/VIP renewal? Like I tell a friend about Graal, he signs up, puts my name down, and my next renewal costs $5 less?

Maybe we can get everyone together and vote for Graal on that site with the big MMORPG list and get it into the top 10 so it appears on the front page...

Adopting an opinion on Graal is bad; it can get you banned very easily.
