Inf Made a Level o my gosh

I made this level just a few minutes ago. I didnt really ceck over it for tile errors cause...I hate doing that. But here it is. Another Classic level. I mainly spent tile on the beaches and stuff to get used to that again.

Edit:Judge the effing level you retard not the realism of it. It doesnt look real to me at all. And next time Zoom in. Everything on graal from a distance is square.

ANd UGH Ill post it in the pulse tileset maybe at some point for you kids who love the super detailed tileset X_X.

Doesn't make sense. The bank on the opposite side of the river would suggest that it is usually a deep river - or it sometimes floods... which it wouldn't do with that marsh like area on the other side.

Also, see how there's those little islands that come out from the marsh side? I find it visually displeasing how each one has a little square of land branching off of it, especially since the squares are all the same size.

I'll say it before Hitmanjack gets here ( )
Too under-detailed

Personally though I agree with what ZeroHour was saying.

It's a nice level.
Just need alittle work tileing grass.

And it does make sense... it's a game.
It doesn't have to contemplate real life.

You said it makes sense, but then you say it's only a game, and therefor doesn't have to make sense. Interesting!

I'm glad you can interperate what I typed.
I'm sure in real life, people can warp around to towns and villages with a ring!

You're very right, this is a game - but if you create a more life like game and include things which don't exist in it, such as warp rings (or magic teleportation), it will be more convincing and interesting...

If I create a beautifully realistic world, and include in it strange new monsters with life-like details, I can promise you it will be a lot more convincing

He meens to staff not the players. Gah I hate how you all just shared your opinion as if it was fact. Some people think if a game is real its more fun. Why do you think they make games like BF2? But some like a game when its somthing they would never experience in real life. Look at games like Zelda and Metriod Prime for example.

Good job at showing how ignorant you can be and taking this totally off subject.

O before I 4get. Detailing to some of you is the layering of grass. Thats looks like crap on the pics1 tileset if you do it to much. Look at this for example,
http://forums.graalonline.com/forums...chmentid=33845
So cluttered. Now picture that at every inch and tile of a server. Atleast I think it would look horrible.

If I don't do layerings (which I chose to do, I hate doing that much layering) people like SlikRik and Acid***got tell me it's not detailed enough and to add more layering.

It's a matter of preference and I was trying to make the level appeal to the people in leveling that, hmm, matter.

And for the record that level was made as something that would be out in the wilderness where GRASS GROWS.

You spend all your time calling people ignorant yet you just have no idea about anything.

Obviously towns and places where a lot of people go wouldn't have so much layering. You need to think about the big picture.

Just because everyone else does there level one way doesnt meen you have to do it there way buddy. Layering grass at every inch of a level doesnt make it cool or detailed lol. I wasnt even talking about you when I was speaking of ignorant.

As I said, I was making the level to appeal to them, I never said that was my personal style.

I know some people don't like my level, hell, I don't like parts of it, but as long as some people like it and for once me and Hitmanjack aren't fighting about levels I don't really care.

[Edit] Just post your response "owning me", I don't feel like arguing, really.

Everyone has different styles of leveling that they like, there is no need to argue and personally attack someone over it.
I like the level, personally. It is pleasing to my eyes

No he said rate the level as a Graal level rather than rating it on how realistic it is.

Not necessarily, no
It depends on what the creator is going for, it also depends on a persons preferences, as to whether or not they will like it or not.
BTW...the level is realistic, just not 100% realistic

Did you miss the 'semi' part of the word? If games were not atleast semi-realistic, I can pretty much guarentee no one would play them. Name one popular game that you think is not realistic at all, and I will tell you what is realistic about it.

The level is nice but its weird to see the higher part on the left...

Must say that I find there to be a lack of detailing somehow.. you could have done more with the detailing like added some swamp or other areas cause it looks rather bauld

it would make sense in real life anyways, one side of the creek is deeper than the other

its good, you should add more detail in the shallowest water like more rocks and such as well as on the dirt, and like stated before, you need to add some more detail on the grass

there are also other tiles you can use for fencing instead of creating a dull square and lifeless fence

but pretty good

That would involve like, intense breakage on the creek bottom and small creeks like that don't break like that. It might be a little deeper but for cliff to beach it would need like a 6 foot drop in elevation.
You only see that kind of breakage off coastlines and stuff like that.
