That'd only eliminate 99% of damage from physical attack-type damage. You'd still take damage from every other attacktype. Basically, it'd be like it takes your damage, divides it by the number of attack-types you have. Then, for each resistance you have to those, it starts to lower (or raise...) the damage you deal. After that, it factors in the AC/WC thing. So, okay, let's say I have a damage of 90 when equipped with my sword of Aengus (Attacktypes: Physical,Confusion,Slow.)
Now, I have -10 WC, and my opponent has -20 ac. My opponent also worships Govannon, giving him a slow resistance of -50, a confusion resistance of -10, and because of his "uber leet gear" he has a physical resistance of 100.
Now you can divide my damage into 3 sections, for the 3 resistances to my 3 attacktypes. This makes it so I deal 30 damage to armor, confusion, and slow. Since his physical resistance is 100, I deal 0 damage for that section. Since his slow resistance is -50%, I deal 50% extra damage, doing 45 damage for that section. He has -10 slow resistance, so I would deal 10% more damage, for a total of 33 damage in that field. Then, we add up all the damage to each section.
0
45
+33
------
78 Damage total.
Now, since his ac is double my wc (Well, not exaclty, there is still positive AC to contend with, but for the sake of arguing, let's just say that 0 is the least ac you can have.) I would only deal half the usual damage, bringing it down to 39 damage.
