Well, as far as I understand (I have a wacom, but I've never used it in Illustrator) you can map the pressure of your pen to the size of the pen in Illustrator.
I imagine for all practical purposed you wouldn't be able to use your designs for anything besides rasterized renderings... but it would make your drawings easier to edit
