Alright already

I'm sorry, I know this would be difficult, but I want a capable offline editor already.
This means GS2.
And why not make it Mac compatable while we're at it?
I mean come on.
I don't have access to the client anymore, my network conection is simply too slow. I shouldn't be cripled in terms of graal level and scripting dev just because I can't connect to the online client.
As for Mac users, they pay the same price as Windows users, they should have access to compatable software as well.
I don't mean to be an ass, but I'm tired of being helpless to develope my server just because I can't connect to the client. What kind of mmorpg with a level editor is using an outdated, almost useless form of said editor? Come on already

Top secret leaked screenshots. Don't tell anyone.

Supposedly it will have some support for GS2 and level layers when finished.
Unfotunately, I am not sure about Mac compatability.

Tyhm 10-07-2006 10:30 PM

Sweet...I might be able to develop again someday...

excaliber7388 10-07-2006 11:09 PM

How soon is this to be released?

Crono 10-08-2006 12:01 AM

That level editor is looking great. Why is it called Sharp though?

Devil 10-08-2006 04:40 AM

Yeah.. who made this?

Maniaman 10-08-2006 05:11 AM

It was a project I was working on over the summer to learn C# (c sharp). Unfortunately, I have not been able to work on it recently, however I will probably start working on it again.

Devil 10-08-2006 06:15 AM

Oh ok awesome :D

WanDaMan 10-08-2006 11:30 AM

Woah, that's very impressive. Got any new features for level editing?

Are you blind Wan? It clearly says layers on the screenshot!

Layers, however that won't be implemented for a bit, as support for it in the client is a bit iffy.

The whole predefined object system is being revamped. In this editor, predefined objects can either be tiles, npcs, or both. For example, you could have a predefined object called Large House, which would have the house tiles, along with a few NPCs like smoke coming out of chimneys and lamps and stuff.

Also I am wanting to implement some sort of offline classes. They work basically the same as classes online, but these are offline.

Along with that, I plan to have it support color/zoom effects in the actual editor window. This will be able to be turned on/off though.

Ability to edit the level source code from inside the editor.

Sign Editor

Link Editor

You can have multiple sign lists, link lists, sign editors, and link editors open at the same time.

(if you are wondering, all the text in the background on those pics is from the data window from before I implemented board drawing)

Yeah :D

I noticed gs1 in the screenshots, is gs2 currently working on it, or do you just plan to implement it?

Devil 10-09-2006 06:55 AM

Maniaman says : It will have some support for GS2. From second post.

Draenin 10-09-2006 07:01 AM

I'm actually really looking forward to this. Especially with the layers and all. Keep it up! It looks excellent.

Demisis_P2P 10-09-2006 02:04 PM

Layers will be great. V4 was supposed to support them -- I guess it must if you're implementing them without changing the client -- but there was never anything done about them -- until now :D

Graal 4 does support them; however, at the moment you have to use scripting to manipulate level layers.

Magadal 10-09-2006 02:39 PM

Layers would be the best improvement ever for Graal.
