MySQL 5.0
Hi.
Im trying to install MySQL 5.0 for the first time. I downloaded the package containing all contents needed for MySQL to work, but when i attempt to extract it to a folder in which i select, it's not extracted, but it pretty much just copies itself to the destination folder. Now that i look at it, the extension appears to be ".msi". I've tried WinZIP,RAR, and PowerArchiver, but no luck. Does anyone know a program that can extract a package with that extension, or the correct way to go about this incase im doing this incorrectly? |

Thank you very much,CheeToS. I thought since the default folder icon for it was the Winzip archive, i was missing a file and/or program for winzip. Thanks though, appreciate it. Now it's just a matter of knowing how to start it. :)
Edit: It seems all my attempts are useless, i thought i can have my own MySQL upgrade on my webhosting, like in a folder mysql/ ,but apparently not. I have to request that GoDaddy.com upgrades their MySQL server(s), but i doubt they will. :frown: |
