the strafing experiment vs not strafing
 

commando class, sweep fleet for both times. strafed first, then went nonstrafing. the strafing run was began with no money (trial account). i purchased medpacks while strafing when: my team one and when i returned and when i died. purchased medpacks while not strafing when i returned.
went for kills not bases. 1 bike mine kills while strafing. died both times fighting more then 1 person.
while strafing, took on 2 or 3 attackers with ease. much more difficult without strafing - had to heal.
returned to dropship once on both runs for ammo and health.
enemies strafed at least 40% of the time both runs.

so by pressing the shift key.. i become nigh invincible..


do i really need to say anything else?

Yeah this proves nothing. Except that fact that the second time you went onto the map you were more unlucky. If anything this is a way to be ****y about being 12:1...

I got 151:1 with none strafe...if you dont beleive me check the screenshot browser. anyway, this thread is spam.

It's a 1 kill/death difference. How does this prove anything?

Id like to see you beat DDC when he strafes with irpular. You wont be able to beat him....no1 can...

An uncontrolled experiment proves nothing. There's no true way to test it... it does help with fighting though.

i know this isnt a perfect experiment, and maybe i just got unlucky.
but irregardless of the scores, i find it MUCH easier to survive while strafing.. and i think that any move/item/weapon/technique/class that gives you a greatly increased accuracy and greatly increased defense (because of suppresion fire) is BAD -- unbalanced.
the game is quite playable without strafing, but it DOES take more skill. ive been fighting with the LRpulsar, no strafe and doing great -- even close/med range. yes, strafing makes it so much easier.. but it makes killing people too easy. there should be more skill needed.. with strafing, it sorta flattens the skill needed to be good, AND it makes running away and shooting VERY easy to do. for crying out loud, just try taking back out strafing and see what happens..

Strafing is cheap but it is open to the public. Their are many things that should be fixed. People consider Strafing and Using Mines strategic when all they do is cause lame.

Well siad jin, its so annoying bein killed by someone who cant even fight so they us mines. Strafin i like tho ;).

this guy said it all...however, u cant do this on 1 test by 1 person...u obviously need a few test subjects, however...but its the same with me...

i dont really care if its kept or not though...because now that i understand it, its extremely easy to overcome...(not to be ****y but...i used to die all the time by strafing XD, now i understand...)

strafing like i said, i dont care anymore...but ixi...you should really not strafe...you among all people shouldnt...i know you...you should be trying to do the challenge with no strafing

cause mines are another strategic move...you say its just used by people who dont know how to fight...well i got news for you guys...

you only really fight in death match...every other server is a TEAM EFFORT...teams...involve strategic moves...mones are definitely important...but i do think they should put a bump in the ground when used...

maybe mine radar could then add how many mines are planted in each spot...

but in the only event where you fight by yourself...BAM...mines dont work unless you trigger them with a grenade...which is obvious to see...

mines arent newbish...they are a strategic strategy...plain and simple...the ONLY reason you should get mad at dying to mines is if your trying to grow a bounty...hence...you shouldnt be in a team event anyway...

Strafin aint too bad. I dont like it but it aint that much of an advantage. Mines are just cheap.

Mines require no skill or combat, you can just leave em there and kills rack up without trying. As to not strafing, I strafe with rifles because its easy killin, never strafe with pistols though, thats just lame.

Actually I don't belive once Jin mentioned anything regarding DDC leaving graal so really you have no reason at all to say that. He was only mentioning how skilled DDC was with an IrPulsar.
And I agree with Jin, DDC was extremely talented with it.

I was merely stating that I have beaten him before when he tried strafing without strafing. Simply use Ixi's tactic of containment and he will charge the wrong spot at the wrong time and die =O

I was simply stating it is possible to beat someone that is very talented with that weapon without using a "lame" tactic like strafing.

As I have said before, anyone is beatable (beside tao back when he was good) but almost everyone is beatable.

DDC had much more skill than jar jar, and a less queer name. If you have notices, he named himself "Red pistole king" How ****y is that. Who owns him with reddys. Me, Jin,jesse,ace,tro,storm,maybe sayian. *Rolls eyes* he sounds so **** when you put it that way.

Anyways ya, jug head you need to tone down the ****yness a bit. Look at me, I used to be ****y, now when I die I dont say a word (unless they killed me with mines) Also when I do good or kill someone I never say im better. When I beat RealDDC I even admitted to him being better. You will have more friends trust me. Storm was ****y (and fat I have heard) he never had any friends (beside me cause I was a kiss-up) and when he wasnt ****y everyone loved him.
