I want to help
I wish to help in the development of the Linux version of Graal under Mandrake Linux 10. Because there are some visual problems in it, I hope to help improve the application.
I do not ask for money or special treatment. I like the game and want to help. That should be a good enough reason. |
Do you know anything about linux?
|
obviously if he thinks he can fix it
|
I don't think anyone would want to work for free without an interest.

Agreed .

If you find bugs or problems please report them to the bugs forum (Techincal support), or post ideas to the suggestions forum. Gfx problems mainly have to do with images having bad transparency. If you see a server with many bad gfx then please report it to me so that I can help the server fixing those graphics.

If it has to do with bad images, then all the regular playerworlds have badd images. Look at this image attachment. Graal was like that when the lInux version first came out for public, and it's still like that. Obviously nobody is working on it. Thats why I offer to help. |
Solution: Windows.

I am playing on Linux using v3 and v3.1 and haven't got a lot of problems with gfx. There are sometimes images with wrong transparency, but not a lot, and it's easy to fix. The thing that you have posted must have to do with the gfx driver, have you installed one from the gfx card producer?

I like Windows alright, but I prefer Linux overall. I'd like to confirm that anyone who runs Mandrake is virtually clueless as to what is going on at all. Anyhow, I have the same problems using an Intel i810 video driver provided in my kernel, along with DRI and AGPGart support. I've ran it on XFree and the latest version of Xorg. I've upgraded/downgraded libpng/mng. I have noticed that the shipped graphics work (transparency, correct colors) more often than others. I'ts really hard to say what the problem is, correct video display on Linux has always been a probelm for me though, for games such as Unreal and Doom.
I'd like to point out that the thread starter stated that he knew how to fix the problem ther I was having. Literally the same problems. http://forums.graalonline.com/forums...ad.php?t=54222 |
I have answered to that thread now x-x Sorry for the delay
