Wheres the new thread?

Also, I always was told Zormitians were fish people? That helmet doesnt look like it has much to do with that...COMEON GOOGI RP! DUH!

Yeah, if you go back a few years. The kingdom is now a federation of "all" races, but pretty much everyone is human.

But still, some of the other equipment I submitted is more fish-like, such as the bracers.

No nothing is decided, because of the lack of interest.

I am at work right now. When I get home I will fire up photoshop and see if I can come up with a few things.

I have had a shield for dustari uploaded onto Kingdoms Debug for a while now, perhaps that is one that should be considered.

I've actually been trying to get some items approved for a while.

I used to have debug and was making alot of new graphics for GK but my gold ran out and I didn't renew it for 3 months due to financial issues at the time. Now that I am back my debug is long gone, and it might take a while for me to get it back. Although I think Calani may give me one of her Zormite accesses, that way I can push my economy-fixing ideas onto Stefan and Bjorn.

Keep in mind I do have items I've created uploaded on GK and Debug already. I'm not some noob who is hoping to change the world to his liking.

Googi, you truly are an idiot.

Obviously you are too ignorant to connect the whole topic of this thread to my already state idealisms for economy changes.

More items -> More stable economy.

This topic is about releasing a flood of new kingdom items that are available to ALL kingdom members into the server, thereby helping to level out the economy.

These items being released alone will help the economy out a great deal, and this was a great idea by Sam to hold this submission event.

This is ridiculous. These items will not be on the market, so their impact is limited to, at most, effecting the value of items that are already on the market (likely by acting as a substitute for existing items and thus decreasing their value, like the Moon Shield did to the Dustari Shield.)

They WILL be on the market, and that's exactly the point Googi. Their existance will serve as an alternative for other items already on the market. More options equals lower prices thereby leveling off the economy and making more DECENT items obtainable to people OTHER than power players. So that everyone has a chance to have relatively good equipment, rather than certain players hoarding it all and demanding hundreds of diamonds for something they don't even use.

The introduction of these items will help mend the economy, if even just a little.

It appears you are not aware of what it means for an item to be "on the market".

This assumes two things.

1. The new equipment will have stats highly similar to current high-value items.

2. The pursuit of deflation is an inherently good economic policy.

Even if the above two assumptions proved true, the effect of the new items on whatever equipment they are "substituting" would be less than the effect of the Moon Shield on the Dustari Shield as the only way one could acquire the new substitutional equipment is by sacrificing other pieces (or the opportunity to gain other pieces) of the new substitutional equipment (unless of course the equipment of each kingdom has identical stats).

The logic center in your brain is broken Googi, you're an idiot.

For example, right now there are only say, 5 different bracer types?

Furthermore, event coins are rarely distributed, so getting any of them is quite uncommon, and even if you buy them, they cost you an arm and a leg because of the fact that they are so uncommon.

Now, this results in most lower level or casual players not owning or being able to afford bracers.

With the addition of new bracers that are obtainable by other methods, varying from event coins, IE Kingdom bracers, more players will have at least basic bracers, making the the current bracers decrease in value, as bracers are more common and most players have at least a basic pair.

The benefit in economy here is for lower level and casual players to have a more fair chance at having a full set of (at least subpar) equipment, and options to upgrade. Even a pair of bracers with (armor+10) and no AC bonus is still better than no bracers at all to a low level player.

I think even someone as cold as yourself can appreciate what little benefits like that meant when you were level 1.

Again, new players would be less discouraged to upgrade and/or play GK knowing that equiping themselves wasn't such a daunting task anymore.

Not unless the kingdom bracers are going to come with a +12 enchantment. Seeing as they will be non-transferable, the only way to get +12 bracers will be to enchant the kingdom bracers up yourself (requires you to be level 110, in which case you probably already own bracers), or buy already-enchanted gold or ice bracers (like you have to do currently).

But has virtually no effect on the economy.

But still can't see how the introduction of unenchanted bracers that give no ac bonus has a deflationary effect on the price of +12 gold and ice bracers.

It is my observation that a feeling of hopelessness regarding equipment does not set in until several hours of upgraded play (i.e. after the subscription has already been sold).

I will probably come up with something better when I get home but, Dolphin Pendant for Zormite?

I do not view the forum community as being so foolish that they would mistakenly regard your misconceptions of the workings of the 2K2 economy as valid.

I have no misconceptions, and it's not that I can't continue this pointless debate against your ignorance, it's that I don't want to.

For years I debated and debated and won on the GCC, and on the Maloria forums. Now I just know better than to waste my afternoons engaging in pointless drama with middle school and highschool students. I'd rather go get some paper from the printer and draw or fool around in mspaint. It's more satisfying anyway. Although, if you really want to continue the debate, call me at 6:00 when I am on the drive home. It's an hour drive, and I've got nothing better to do.. well, aside from listen to KMFDM..

My cell is 832:233:8010, if you really want to debate this...

Googi, if you're attempting to prove that your genitalia is larger than mine, save yourself some time, it isn't. However, if you're persistant, you'll bother to "View All Posts By Raelyn" yourself, because honestly, it's not worth my time. I don't need the same psychological or emotional security that you do, I'm confident that you're an idiot. :)

I'm not finding anything impressive. Clearly one of us is delusional. Seeing as you seem to believe yourself to be infallible, whereas I can provide links to threads where I suffer complete obliteration, I suspect that it is you.
