Please, stay focused here, we're talking about how mods have much more rep power than us, and can do multiple reps a day while we can't.

Spark910 has a spectacular aura about
Jeeze. Just get it over with and remove this stupid feature. It isn't a representation of anything accurate. The community is small enough to know who is or isn't a "positive or negative" person, without needing a colour coded system! Moreover, it'd give people one less thing to complain about (which isn't the reason to remove it, just a supporting factor).

Actually this thread is about the players being able to rep more then once and has nothing to do with the moderators. You are the one bringing it off topic as so with your self pity cryfest.

I disagree, people who have red rep are people who have been hated in the past and are nothing but annoying. People with higher rep (i.e Dusty) are people who have helped the community out (his graphic contributions) or have been here for a long time and generally not disliked (Googi).

I'd say the reputation system is pretty accurate at this point, but needs some fine tuning.

Ya. Problem is it's not very 'detailed'. You either have a red bar or a green bar... very few have more than one green bar. So it's either 'good', or 'bad'. Almost everyone who is not bad is basically on the same scale.

The threshold for those bars needs to seriously be reconsidered, and not just 'fixed' so Stefan can get two bars when he wants to.

Yeah, like the whole 4000 posts/1000 reppoints system to get one more point of rep power.

Yeah, like that's ever going to happen.

Should be every 200 or 250 rep points = +1 rep

Well, the point is to not have it too unbalanced. I think 100 points might be slightly bit too much. Should be pretty hard to get +1 more rep, otherwise eventually we'll have people handing out 20 rep points which is ridiculous. 20 rep points wouldn't be that bad, but it would be highly unbalanced, since regular members would only be giving 1-3 rep points.

Look how hard it is to get over 100 points.

There is no reason time should be a more important factor in reputation power than actual reputation. An inactive member with 5 points of reputation can come back(who had an account from back in 2001), and have a reputation power of 7. For doing absolutely nothing. Bob, however, could have 200 reputation points for being an outstanding member of the community, but be created last year, and have what... like 2-3 reputation points?

I guess you have a good point, I just worry about the POWER REP people who would basically control the reps (people who are "outstanding" and registered in 2001-2002).

Those people would be far and few between... but perhaps we need more people who can give some higher rep so everyone isn't stuck under 50 or so. It would suck to be neg repped by them though.
