I don't like the idea of swords that deal additional damage or defensive armor sets.

Agreed.

Why should a player not be able to gain additional bonus for getting stronger?

I mean doesnt the use of a weapon get better as you do?

And I think having defensive armor is kinda ya know.... A good thing.

Considering otherwise we'd be like UN but instead of hats just weapons... WEAPONS WEAPONS.

You're right it isn't N-Pulse.
But it IS N-Pulse Rebirth.

Let me assure you that it will stand out from Zodiac/Maloria or any other RPG server, we have more of a classic feel to it.

Doubt that we will have a surplus of weapons/spells.

Another thing that I'm going to bring up with the Rebirth Development Admin's is that I want it to be all about equality.

Unlike Zodiac, my point is to actually let players fight upon skill, and not about whos armor is better. I don't want to go too much into detail because it's not grounded yet. I just want a level of equality throughout the server.

But that's something we have to discuss as said.

Level grinding isn't even planned, hell there's actually a plan to make sure that DOESN'T happen.

I agree with what Moonie is saying. I myself have always been more of a classic player but the reality is that classic-based servers have been dying out for awhile. Players are no longer satisfied with classic servers because after quests the only activities left are sparring, events, and random or guild-related PKing. These, at least in my experience, are fun for awhile but get boring/old as you spend more time on the server. With Rebirth we are trying to keep that traditional classic feel while also adding a small RPG spin to make the server more interesting and fun for players.

Okay, so you say there will be RPG leveling. With no level cap. And stat upgrades, but only a few, as to retain the Classic feel.

What makes you think that with only a few weapons, leveling without a level cap, which essentially means that once you get past a certain point it's pointless to continue leveling, as there can't be an unlimited amount of worthwhile rewards for leveling, since you've already stated strenth and defense will only recieve slight increases, the server will be any more perpetual than your standard Classic server..? To me it sounds like you're too lazy to populate your world with high-quality quests released every few weeks, and would rather have some half-assed RPG system perpetuate your playercount. Other games have done it; why not you guys?

It should either be 100% Classic or 100% RPG, not something that looks like a two-year old scripted it in 2001 with the default health, movement, hit detection, but with an XP bar and equippable replaceani swords.

Jobs
Rebirth will feature a variety of jobs for players to obtain money. Each job will have its own mastery system for you to level. There will be a level cap for jobs. The higher a player’s level, the more money they will be able to make. As a player travels the over world, they will come upon other jobs that will provide a higher amount of profit. Therefore, it is in a player’s best interest to explore the over world rather than staying in one town the whole time.

Guild Houses/Player Houses
As we continue development on Rebirth we will allow guilds to purchase guild houses and players to purchase player houses. There will be a weekly rental fee to keep the guild house or player house on the server. If a player or guild fails to pay their rental fee, their house will be closed off and they will be given 2 weeks to re-claim their house before their location is put back on the market. Guild houses will cost more than player houses because it is expected that the members of the guild will pitch in and help pay the fee. The exact pricing and limitations on levels for guilds and player houses has not been determined yet.

Weather and Day/Night Systems
Rebirth will have Day/Night System which will go by “Rebirth time” and not real time. This system will influence when certain features will be available to the player. For example, if it is very late at night in Rebirth time, a shop may be closed and the player will have to wait till the morning comes to go inside and purchase items. This is just an example of what the system may influence. A weather system will also be implemented that will feature, wind, rain, tornadoes, and snow.

First Release
The first release of Rebirth will feature one town, Tampus. This is where players will begin their journey and will be limited to this town only for Rebirth’s initial release. Tampus will feature two baddy dungeons for players to begin leveling in. Players will be able to obtain beginner weapons, armors, and spells. There will also be one classic quest for players to complete for an extra heart. A fishing job will be available for players to obtain money and master in. Tampus will also include a spar house that allows a player to spar with their classic or RPG player, events house with events, and the online level editor (OLE). A Guild Wars activity/event will also be released. Player Houses and Guilds Houses will not be accepted in the initial release. Last, the release will include the weather, as well as day/night systems.

N-Pulse’s management and development departments are hoping to release different parts of the over world one at a time when they are completed so players will be able to grow with the server and experience new features that will keep them entertained. However, the only problem is that N-Pulse needs more developers! We are currently limited to only a few developers and more would help the development go much faster. We need hard working developers from the areas of NAT, LAT, and Special Effects (gani, sound, and effect artists). We have enough GATs at the moment. I hope you all will enjoy the first release of Rebirth and the concept/idea that has been laid out for it.

Developing a new server should be something as a side project, which should really be developed elsewhere and not even called npulse. Developing an improvised server from the original server is a main project.

Still waiting on those updates to the main server.

Well you cant expect rebirth to mean completely the same right? Something obviously will change. And this is a BIG change.

I also believe your supposed to intake the word rebirth in the sense you would with Reincarnation.
