Question is a bit unfair as you mentioned the ice traps with explosives. They are too different things. Bombs is totally fine and i have no problem with them being allowed to place infront of doors as you can do that in real life and there is a 20 second limit so no problem here.

On the other hand, ice traps & sandbags is a different thing. Why would you do that in real life?

Ice traps is stupid and only used to lame doors which is a different thing altogether and should be stopped. Sandbags are only used nowadays for floods etc i doubt you will get a flood on era, well sometimes you do when rogue QQ's but sandbags wouldn't help that situation as it most likely would be a tsunami with the amount of tears he would shed.

Anyways my point is. Explosives are fine but fix the ice traps and sandbags.

Argument based on realism oh god I'm dying.

The 20-second timer has pretty much eliminated the ability to spam a base consistently with explosives if people are raiding. What more do you want blue QQ

Koho's right in saying that ice traps and explosives are different. IMO, ice traps should be considered -less- of a problem. I can set down a bomb and go guard another door, but an ice trap at least forces me to be proximal to the area I'm trying to beseige.

I could have left this in feedback, but I've been too busy flying around on my witches broom and my supersled and other such realistic things Also I forgot ok don't judge me this is an open discussion damn

There should not be any item or set of items that takes away nearly all a player's life instantaneously and can be used endlessly without severe repurcussions. Another thing that should be changed. ( borrowing from a common mechanic in mmo endgame bossfights) When multiple people are getting hit by the explosive have the damage spread out and distribute evenly based on how many people are effected. That way if the explosives are unavoidable you could always strategize with your team still and have everyone absorb the damage together for a reduced effect.

Dividing the damage between players is stupid. That nerfs explosives in general but doesnt solve the problem at all because people can and will still put explosives on doors.

I believe doors are already linked serverside, so you could trigger an action between the external door that you can have to break down and the interior door that the explosives are on to detonate the explosives when the door takes damage.
Then players can still use explosives in general and can create traps around doors, to strategically block off entries or exits, just not on the door to lame.

Along the same line of thought, a snakecam item that tells you how many people are inside a level and if there are explosives within say 6 tiles of the door would be cool, and would save breaking down a door to raid a base only to find that the whole base is empty. Or if you know it's not empty, choosing an entry that has the least people in the room.
