External/Offline Editor

This would be extremely helpful for some of us. Why isn't it avaliable?

For a game that use to depend on the community, there doesn't appear to be much incentive to help said community.
I would really appreciate this addition. To be able to use an external/offline editor like the old one might actually help in some ways. (like not having to rely on testbed)

Anyway, I had a little time on my hands so I thought that I would ask, thanks for your time and hopefully some answers.

Do you mean Offline GS2? There are Gonstruct and the official editor for offline editing still.

If this is in support of a gs2 offline editor, i'm eagerly awaiting the day.

More towards functional offline gs2. While I don't have large amounts of time to devote, I will be deploying in the near future and would like to be able to script/build systems that I could online. It would be nice if the gs2 editor was in a similar fashion as the old one.

If they really wanted to make one, it would have been made. I hope this answers your question.
