You have installed Graal? When you download with Firefox you just need to click on it in the download window. Once you have downloaded you can start it via the programs menu (Games->Graal Online), or you open a console and type "graal".

This may sound wacky but did you use KDE or Gnome; I know with Graal Online sometimes it doesnt properly link to the KDE interface but when i goto Gnome and hit all programs i see graal online weird yes. I use Suse Linux Enterprise Desktop cause its hot.

I originally had problems installing Graal onto my Ubuntu box but after I gave the file execute rights it worked fine from that point onwards...apart from lack of direct rendering but hey - on board graphics =P

To install on linux - first off download the linux client found here
http://graalonline.com/downloads/index.php

Save it to your desktop or home folder. The next part depends on your preferred method but for new users I would suggest using the GUI. Find graal4setup and right click it selecting properties.
Select the permissions tab and give the file execute rights for owner. If it already has the rights then don't worry about it.

Once that is done, double click to start the installation process. It should ask for a password. I suggest installing Graal system wide so use the root users password.

The install process should start and hopefully sucessfully complete. You should now be able to access Graal using either Applications-> Games-> Graal Online or typing 'graal' into a terminal session.

Running Graal on Linux is very similar to Windows. One noticable change is the use of a GuiControl for playerlist. This annoys me cause i like my playerlist outside my window =p. Otherwise it is all good.

Hopefully this will help =)

After running through the terminal and it downloaded some package it gave me this weird error.

Unable to read from /proc/self/exe. Your operating system might be broken (2)

Is that the exact error message?
Has it added the link in the programs menu and does something happen when you type "graal" now?

It didn't show in the program menu under games, the installation dind't complete. However when I booted into slax it installed and ran perfectly execpt it said "Direct Rendering is not possible. Please update the driver of your graphics card tos peed up the game!" i'm pretty sure I do need to update the driver. But it allowed me to play it, just a tiny bit of lag.

I like how everything comes up as gui controls (Profiles, Messages, Playerlist, and the profiles) on linux.

I'm sick of that direct rendering problem . The supplier for my onboard chip doesn't support linux and I'm way to lazy to go find one .

So there isn't a way to get rid of it so I can play graal without lag? I guess i'll try ubuntu or kubuntu again if there isn't, or I could go back on my other hard disk and play graal on there on windows vista even though I boot there for almost everything anyway.

Some companies provide drivers for graphic's cards / chips eg. Nvidia. If your lucky you may get one there. Otherwise the linux community may have developed a driver for your particular card/chip.

The drivers may be universal for different distributions. Otherwise I don't think I could answer that question =S
