Wrong thing to say when talking about Elk pooper. That's why you don't play Graal unless you are 14-15+ Or have an IQ of a college student (me). ;[

hah you damn sure can be taught to pixel before I met kinatt I used poor color choices and bad shading schemes often using filters.. my graphics looked nice and shiny but kinatt taught me how to make it look better with 3 colors and how to use dithering to create a mid shade or fade effect and then I went to town creating what would evolve into the relic tileset =)

I've also self-taught myself. But I've been dealing with a lot of light/tone and such in real life for a long time, so it was really just making a method which looks nice, for me.

i did the same thing that lancelot9 did...i'd always just pull up a zone gun file and zoom in hella close and just see how they shaded the weapon...but now im stuck doing zone-style weapons/armor and things...

but i'm only 16 and i dont really draw all the time, like i used to...now that people i know have cars they come pick me up, or i walk to there house (2 miles to go kick it aint a fun walk... )...so it was kinda hard for me in the begining...expecially since i had no knowledge of pixel art anyways :x

The art of rendering real life in a fine-arts manner is very fun. You learn things about light and shadow and just stuff like that as you go.

Sort of interesting.
