Trying a simple approach

Just a little project I am not ready to unveil yet... but what are your thoughts and opinions? Blast away.

Edit: The light has been fixed which is emitting from the bottom building. It shouldn't be so bright. Oh, and the plants are radiating for a reason.

Thanks. I know it's nothing original, but is the overall design effective? It's basically suppose to be a tile-errorless classic style. Not one of those levels cluttered with swamp tiles and grass cut-in-half. Anything I can do to improve the level?

Remove the lights from trees/non-light objects. Trees do not illuminate themselves!

Stop the birdbird style of leveling. (ie slap lights all over everything to try and make your level look better)

Lights were cool on G2k1. I really liked the way they were spammed everywhere, gave the levels a new flavour.

But it made them look so sweeeeeet. I used to be a huge fan of Birdbird's work.

But yeah, drop the lighting and maybe continue your detail throughout the whole level.

lol putting a default light npc over a tree and calling them "radiating" XD.
When I think of radiating trees...(even though I never do) I see the top part of the tree with a perfect outline that glows. (Think Jesus in sterotypical movies)

Hmm.

Try to figure out how to modify the edges so that it doesn't cut so hard at the door light. You can just use the corners and change their alpha to slightly lower.
