From the desk of Dr. Claw.
Gentlemen, obviously if the situation were good you wouldn't be hearing from me.
I regret to inform you all that tragedy has befallen the Miner's Union once again. While recovering from the tragic loss of Richard "Dyck" Terrance, I regret to inform you that both Ivar *Supervisor* and Paul *Public Relations* have both retired from the Miner's Union.
Also, they committed suicide. It was poker night at the Brazelli's residence, and Ivar just wasn't getting good cards. No, I'm not talking about his life. He had a bad hand in life, and a bad hand this night. The mines had been shut down. His wife Stacy had recently left him and taken his house. His best friend Richard had just committed suicide after screaming abusive profanities and revoking Ivar's status as "godfather" over his children.
Not a good night. The mines no longer brought the solace they once did, now a road filled with blood and anguish. After losing his bluff with pocket twos, Ivar decided to retire. Paul followed suit. The two then killed themselves, each died of a gunshot wound to the head. Diacetyl morphine traces were found in Paul's body. Paul had a history of addiction to substance in his life. The details are not known as to why the trio (Richard, who after attempting to take his life again in the photograph with his friends, floated away extremely agitated) took their lives, but we do know this: they are no more.
Some say you can see them today as faceless horrors, wandering the mines that once gave them purpose.
But why do I, Dr. Claw, even grace you with my presence today?
It is to tell you this: The Miner's Union is, regrettably, disbanding.
I have no supervisors. I have no Public Relations. My only dependable worker killed himself with a crowbar and some explosive barrels.
It's been a good run. I'd like to thank everyone on Era for supporting us over the years.
!RIP

Paul Paulson - (1981-2010)

Oh tragedy, you have no sense of timing. |
