Musician Website Mock-up...C&C?

I need to recreate this anyways, I lost everything and need to start from scratch, so what better time to turn to everyone and get a few ideas?

I'm designing this website for a local musician.

The Wood Framing/size---
The idea is that it'll be centered on the middle box and if the computer happens to have higher resolution the wood on either side will simply fade into nothing, I tried going for a size that would work for most computers but still seem like it was designed for larger screens. I think I may have made it a little too tall, though.

The same thing vertically with the reflection added in...but is the reflection too cliche? It certainly ties in with where everyone usually sees this effect...music cd covers in a playlist on certain websites... should it stay or should it go?

And aside from little graphical errors here and there, what do you think of the general design?

If you have any comments or critique let me know!
Tear my design apart if you have the eye for it

After studying this webpage, and then going and visting my local dolphins for a more intuitive approach on life and how to answer your question, I stumbled upon a headache and went to a local gypsy healer, listening to her stories for hours while she taught me how to heal with my posts...

Other than being blurry, having what look like pictures taken from a crappy camera doesn't help it's look. Try also removing the dropshadow from all around the text and add a simple stroke around it instead to make it jump out a little more. :3

You spent the time to go to her myspace to check out the music?

these are..like... 19% quality jpgs I saved of the work. It's all I have left, the computer deleted the .psd file from the hard drive.

They look especially bad right now... yeah... but admittedly the pictures she supplied weren't as great as they could be. I touched up picture with her on the log quite a bit and looked great, there isn't anything I could do for the other picture. There's so much noise... but if it had text and information in front of it, do you think it would be horribly noticeable?
