Gotta at least hear some of it, Hattrix our new sounds guy does really great work. We've already got new unstick-me theme songs, casino themes, beach themes, hospital themes, and lastly underground mine themes.

Oh that's a great idea, fowlplay. I didn't realize that's what you were referring to. Then I can get rid of the confusing 'X'.

Just updated the inventory with your code, that works so much better. Great idea.
well it's just less practical then so i'll never use it

give us an option to choose which inventory to have on login or just let us keep the inventory we had when we logged off

I don't think so, I've addressed your issues and we no longer use the 'X' toggle. The hotkeys now have their own separate location in the slots so you can easily view quantity & your hotkey association on the fly.

Good news though, I added all your items to my inventory to make sure everything would sort out okay (not sure if you'd use auto sort or not). Everything looked great and functioned as advertised.

A feature that I added that I may not of announced was an updated auto-sort that is now always sorting items into tabs as you get new items (slot locations do save, so it's not going to sort those items again). And after negative feed-back I've removed the hotkey update: you now have two options for assigning hotkeys. You can either right click item slots and assign a key to the weapon by following the instructions, or you can continue using the old system in the HUD "gear".

As the only person here who should have an opinion on anything:

Other than the look of the new inventory (even with mini its still very gawdy) I do like the functionality to it. As someone who is very fashion conscious on Era, I do enjoy have the ability to keep all of my hats in one tab.

My only statement is, do not get rid of the old inventory. Despite everyone wanting to push Era forward, what I think everyone likes about Era is its freedom. To PK, to spar or raid, to make outfits etc, and pushing change without choice is definitely a way to isolate yourself from the players perspective.

The old inventory is the exact same as the new one if you want it to be. The new one does the exact same things as the old one, plus its bigger and is more customizable. Plus you can see more items in a column which means less scrolling, if you want, use one tab, and it's the same as the old. If you're complaining about the new inventory you're just doing it for attention and just for the sale of complaining.

I suppose my main issues w/ the old inventory is that it's very hard as a developer to make new updates when parts of the script are a mix between GS1 & GS2. Another issue I see is there's just a lot of information crammed in over the years as updates were made. It can be very overwhelming for potential new players. The last thing I'd like to point out is there's just so much fragmentation between GUIs all over Era and with this update we're bringing the server a little closer to having a standard appearance.

Era has always been; Someone(s) who played before others and has a set of opinions and feelings (usually out-dated and just trying to re-live the past)
Then; New player(s) who follow the old in chance of acceptance.
Meaning; everyone hates new things and wants the old because the old was successful and the new is undetermined.

I do like the functionality of the new inventory, but the look of it.... ugh.
I hate that GUI skin so much on everything that uses it, not just the new inventory.

(Sorry, but basically, I'm saying everything you ever made is ugly to me, Tim XD)

That's why I made that new GUI skin that was used for the gun skin system.

I'm happy to add skins for it given I have the proper graphics. I didn't know you made that GUI, something like that would look very nice if templated properly. I would like it to be white though so players can still modify colors.

Why is your item font more legible than mine? Mine isn't bold looking like yours.
Or is that what you guys are talking about? o.o

Edit: Nevermind, right after I posted this it changed a few minutes later, guess it was something you were changing. :O
