Offical GK Suggestions Thread!

Best RP admin team you can actively get on GK = Gryffon, Zurkiba and Moi.

I believe their should be an FAQ team too. No powers or anything neccessary..maybe update level?

Not even that, You can't really abuse GK with any staff tool. Why would they need "Update Level?"

Anyways, I didn't close the thread last weekend because more people wanted to have suggestions, so it will be closed Friday or Saturday with final ideas. (All stated in this thread.)

Also some project ideas might be released.

From what I can promise you so far, people want more RP on GK.

I don't worship a ****ty god for my health, nor would I like to think I wasted my time getting the wisdom levels to have this item, I'd like that fixed too.


Btw, I am sure Ed would argue the same about Aengus' Elven Bow.

Depletion works, it's essentially "harm food stat", try it, I've used a bile hook, ran someone out of food and diseased them due to starvation, and killed them that way, even though the hook did next to nothing as far as damage.

Currently agility levelling is almost useless.

I am for this upgrade, as I am a professional thief and my agility levels are rivaled only by those of Marion Hunter. I worked hard for the exp and levels, and have always felt that they should provide some sort of benefit, such as speed or even AC as chris suggests.

IMO, dustari and zormite should just be removed, dustari is the blandest kingdom ever, they don't strive to be unique, they are the essence of mediocrity, and zormite has gone from a once unique fish kingdom to that same essence of mediocrity.

They provide nothing unique to GK, kill them both.

Update level is useless and pretty dangerous on gmaps.

2K2 was SUPPOSED to be an RP server- look what it's degenerated into.

I dont believe you. I believe people want to get as many items as they can and pk everyone.

When I go on 2k2 I see KINGDOM LEADERS saying stuff like this,

You want to improve RPing you do this. If you do not do what's on the list you will never achieve RPing on 2k2.

-Remove the items, Go back to 2k2 Alpha, have three swords, three bows, three wands, three spells, etc.
-Set up an RP hierarchy. You need a single (or group) of talented RPers to govern the Kings themself. They should also have the power to revoke kings from their positions
-Remove the current kingdom leaders, excluding Forest and Pirates, as they can not RP or they do not strive to finish their kingdom (Zormite heads)
-Create a war system. Perhaps have flags in the towns that kingdoms can capture.
-Set up an organized server-roleplaying interaction. If I want to blow up Borea and I set bombs all over the place then it should be blown up. If I want to bust down a castle door then it should be broken. Atleast these actions should be accepted by the roleplaying admin

If you do not acomplish this list... then nothing will happen unless there is some strange occurance where talented leaders and roleplayers suddenly take thrones at one time.

Actually, fear harms your food stat. Personally I believe it should harm your ac.

Suggestion: Instead of rolling for stats, why not allow players to actually DECIDE based on a (and this may be a bold, new idea here) set amount of points! Then- toss potions out of the window. Bye potions! Make speed a little less tied to Str and Dex, so that mages or priests are a viable archetype, and there ya go.

Allow wands to give pluses or attunements, and allow some spells to be cast without wands- why would I need a wand to make my Hands Burn? Shorten casting times, and, yes, speed up projectiles.


Rethink the house building system- there should be several choices for the outer appearance, and special event coin scrolls for each kingdom's type of house- a Forest House can put a small patio at the top of it's branches above it's second floor once remodeled, a Dustari house gains an extra room on the bottom floor, etc.

Pets go away. Now. They do nothing but lag- redo the Horse system, perhaps you can "summon" your horse ala...well, I can't mention that game, but just summoning your horse and it'll run up.

To spur RP war: Kingdom Technology- a kingdom should be able to make technologies others cant, which slowly improve via an RP admin monitering it. Airships (not the puny zepplins), Iron clads, muskets, and other such fun things.

Portals: If not a spell, then there should be fixed portals that can go from one to the other of it's set.

Spells in general: Priestly magic needs to be seriously adressed, as does Arcane. Magic should be a viable form of combat that one needs to specialize in to some degree. It's annoying to see every barbarian with a wand casting Summon Avatar.
