Hmmm I think each kingdom should have a number of warriors, a sorcerers, archers etc.
Before the war we could make a rule like each kingdom can only have 10 warriors, 10 archers, 5 sorcerers, 5 ship builders etc.
The rules about hp cap or so don't need to be very restrictive, but right now you cannot even hurt someone who is 10 levels or more above you. It can still give advantage to people with high levels or good items, but not as much as it is right now. The weapon and armour stats were more made for monster fight.

What we need is Fr0 or someone else whos level 110 to post that theyd like k-mode because it would be more fun for them. Which it would, since I cant imagine walking in and leveling armies would be very much fun.

If the system was a bit different and AC wasnt so much of an issue (AC and prepping done away with essentially) the high levels would actually create an interesting factor in wars. It would be sort of like a battle out of the Iliad. Fr0 would be like achilles and could only be defeated if 10 lvl 25s banded together and used teamwork to bring him down. (sorry fr0, I don't mean to use you as an example, but everyone else is). Unfortunately, as of now, 10 lvl 25s or 1000 lvl 25s couldnt defeat fr0 because none of them could break his AC. Prepped weapons or not. Unless of course they USDd some amazing equipment, which again is a corruption of the system.

Thats actually a pretty freaking sweet idea. Dustari would be priests, Forest archers, Pirates thieves, Zormite sorcerers maybe, and Samurai warriors.

What should be done is a system like Ragnarok Online has. When more than one person attacks you at a time, your AC gets lowered (depending on how many people/monsters are attacking you)

Dont forget archers, sorcerers, and priests who can be attacking from a distance while you have your front line fighters attempting to outflank him. I think its entirely possible to have 10 people attacking a single fighter.

Ranks should really be separated and skill scrolls abolished. That way a person could be more easily fitted to how they fight or what they do.

Intresting thread...i spent 4 years or so on leveling and building up my character and would not like to be beaten by a level 10 newbie pirate that was a excellent sparrer. I am one of the strongest players on graal kingdoms and can only be challenged by the likes of deo, fro and kilik maybe a few others, this is a problem as far as wars go because i know if i manage to defeat them the rest of the kingdom will be easy for me to solo.

I believe this problem could be resolved with a k-mode that capped certain stats, ac + wc could be capped at -20 speed at 3 - 4 damage at 100 this way there would be a very minor gap in player strengths and even your average fighter now would be at top stats on the kingdom battlefield and would still give newer players something to work to as far as kingdom battles go.

Yes but you probaply know how unrealistic and unfair pk is.

See it realistic - any person who gets attaccked by 3 people at a time will die, even if the fighters who attack only are weak and have bad weapons.

I think what i proposed makes people very even and even the "legendary fro" could be beaten by 2 other average players.

I was in the Dustarian military for 2 years i became the Field marshal and lead the military for a period i became the Prince of dustari during thie period we defeated Samurai a few times and destroyed the clan nighthawkes and took control of the island. My character has been building up for 4 years why shouldn't i be able to kill a peasant with a pitchfork.

Because that has nothing to do with rp, just with insistance on overnatural might, which is even anti-rp or destroying good rp.

My character is a skilled warrior its taken him 4 years to build up, i think it is good RP for it to take 2 new players to beat me, the stat caps i suggested are not even high, but of course could be lowered even more if it thought need be...

You can't ignore game mechanics completely i don't think anyone was implying that, simply that kingdom wars are pointless because 1 player can wipe out entire kingdoms, i still believe my idea would fix that.

The only problem with this warmode is that the players with slow internet connection that have actually gone through the touble of leveling. And then theres the issue of the WC and AC of the power players. This just sounds like an attempt to be lazy to me.

If the GK staff actually had fixed the bugs like they should have, you wouldnt have to worry about unfairness of just a few levels higher/lower. I'm level 30 something, and I've killed level 110's allready with all their armour on. I got the finger from that fight to prove it too.

The you MUST have amazing equipment. Becuase its not a matter of skill right now. You cannot break their AC no matter how many times you hit them. There is no skill involved in battling on kingdoms. Its all about whos put in the most hours killing lords and doing bruts. Its all about whos been around long enough to have ridiculous armour and weapons. GK is an oldbies rule, noobies drool server. Completely. Even 600 hours of play time is not enough to be considered anything on this server, because you havent had the chance to get the equipment of someone with 2k hours. All the kmode does is reintroduce skill back into battling in the RP. I see no reason why k-mode should not be implemented, and I think those that are against it are simply being thick-headed.

My ac is only -43 and a WC of -17 right now. And thats with my Forest bow.

Do you know of Magic?? Its one of the few things nobody really pays attention to. Honestly... I have 571 magic points to put to good use on things.

I have 400 hours. My equipment is about 1/8th of the way to making me competitive. And to Dayaa, I know that magic is the best way to take down the ridiculously strong people, especially considering theyre probably using RoWs or atleast RoSs. Unfortunately, you'll see coming from most of the people who attempt to be spell casters here, magic is so badly nerfed and the cast times are so slow that an attempt to use magic affectively against a person with 5.5 speed and a prepped dagger, will leave you sadly defeated.

Mech (my bro) just reached lvl 40, but at lvl 35 or so he was already killing Damix, whatever the leader of forests name is, and some other lvl 110's, and his wc is only -58 or so (prep'd dagger) and he's only lvl 30 in phy now (or 31), and his ac is - 75 ...most of the lvl 110's are VERY weak because they get lazy and about at lvl 30 just use the lvl 107 scrolls to lvl themselves the rest of the way...if they want to be that weak and get pwnt by a lvl 30 that's there choice i'm lvl 17 and i've got -35 wc and i use dual roc so i'm not getting all the huge boosts from something like ros/row x.x of course i'm all phy though

This would make it so the players still have a reason to level and try to get the best armor instead them thinking they can sit on their ass and be as good as the other players while doing nothing when it comes to a war. If someone who is level 1 sits on their butt all day in the trade, they deserve to be stomped when it comes to war and not be strong and beable to kill anyone who is not. It would solve some of the problems with the time people have put into their character

I feel that is a statement of proper weight. Now, to address the major points:

Cragius, what if a level 110 person was roleplaying as a peasent with a pitchfork? Right now, levels to far more than simply outline how your character has developed, they schism the population beyond repair.

Dayaa, you're a QUEEN and you're arguing with the idea that by roleplaying standards, most people would be of roughly equivalent stregnth. Did it make sense that Zoe, the Queen of Dustari, was a strong enough fighter to slay every fighter that stood against her? Her character wasn't Xena and hadn't trained for millenia with the Amazons of Themescara. By proper roleplaying standards, she should have been fairly normal.

Craigus's idea isnt bad. It gives slight advantages to those that have worked harder, but slight enough that they don't become too powerful. Although working it into an RP sense like Gryffon is saying could make it trickier. In other words, there isnt a level playing field, but your characters strength in battle is based on your RP. For example, the kingdom leader is allowed to give out a certain amount of "K-Mode" levels or something based entirely off the characteristics of their subjects. Your level would be high if you're your kingdoms legendary warrior, fairly high if you're part of an elite strike force, relatively low if you're just a run of the mill solder, and very low if you're a dignitary or royal or peasant. Say level 20 is very high, and level 1 is very low. Your king is given 10 points for each member of the kingdom. The king splits those points up appropriately. These points decide your AC, WC, speed, etc while in k-mode. Granted, that would be a phenomenal amount of work, but I think it would be really fun. Critique?

Meh, just trying to find a happy medium. A way that will both make it worth it to continue leveling if you're really an avid RPer, but will make it fair for newer players that havent had the chance to reach level 110 or get -70 AC.

It should be That the higher level you are the more stats you can have put in where you want them... Sortof like in diablo, this means like you earn certain stats per level and you can change them like asy you get 2 each level you can add to things like str , dex, magic, anything you can use a gold key for on ooc main soif you choose not to use any or put all in charisma and get rich off seeling your crops as a farmer that is your choice. that is a kingdom only option thou . it wouldnt effect wht happens on ooc main.

That doesn't really solve anything though. It just changes the way in which the strong can be strong, and the weak can not be.
