Exclamation RC and Guild Tags..........

Hi Folks,
A person having RC is not an indication of them having the ability to create/edit guild tags, for those of you who think so. In order to create/edit guild tags, a person has to either have access to the Guild Manager or FTP on the particular server you want the tag made for. RC stands for Remote Control, and it is a program that is standard issue for most staff positions on Graal, with the exception of FAQ on some servers. RC is used to edit players' attributes, update levels, and there is also a chat session on RC where you can talk to other staff members that are on with RC. Also, for those of you who are upset about people who are AFK with their RC's on, refer to this excerpt from the GP Handbook:

"Also, LAT, the GP Chief, and any administrator may not answer you because they may only be online to edit something in the game, in which situation they would not be able to help you at the time."

The person on RC may be AFK because, like me many times, they may be editing or making new levels, fixing NPC scripts, etc, and do not have their attention focussed on the RC program at that time. I do, however, feel that the RC program should be modified so if a person is idle for such and such a time, (that is, not doing anything with player accounts, updating levels, chatting with other people on RC, etc), it would disconnect itself automatically. Just be patient, if a particular person on RC is going to respond, it won't take them very long, and, if you find yourself waiting for longer than maybe 10 minutes, the person is probably doing something else and most likely will not respond at all.

This may or may not be a direct quote from Peach, however, when Peach mentioned it, I took it into consideration and implemented it into my RC time.

I don't know why people stay on the RC all night. They shouldn't do that. This is a business line.

He's right.

The RC is a business line, not an idle service. If you can't be there to service the customers due to time restraints and so forth, then, you shouldn't be on the RC. Technically, when you are logged into the RC, you are indicating to the public that you are ready to deal with them. Its not fair that they should wait for service when you have been given the priviledge of servicing the public and you're off sleeping, busy, doing other things.
