Redwiz's Shiz's!

Uhm just to keep everything concise this will be a post for me to just post random oddities.. I'll try to avoid posting so many topics within a day or so of eachother, so if you like something just let me know what you think. I didn't expect to create so much a few days ago when I posted the other topics, but because I can;t seem to stop this is where they will all go now.

Yes I apologize again about that Anyway.. um..
Right the kingdoms house with the bowled roof.
You've seen it straight but here it is arched inwards to give it more character.

That particular model is an environmental one, one that is not supposed to be entered, but I have made a model with stairs and I shall upload that shortly.

Ok so here is an update, here we have stairs attached to the outside of the building. There is logic in this, if you are to go inside there is a tiny amount of room, not enough really to fit stairs in and still have look good. Therefor, the stairs placed behind the building gives more space inside the building, and makes nicer shadows and what not. Also adds that extra sense of "this-place-can-exist-ness". So I may add a banister going down the rickety stick railings, and will also add mroe rickety stick railings on the inside of the steps nearer the house.

It looks nice, though I think it's probably a more of an acquired taste in style. I don't like the varnished stone look and the end of the wood on the roof looks more like brass than wood, like the upside of a drum cymbal.

I guess the lighting does nothing for it. Yeah I'll get to work on them by setting out all the variations together and lighting it I'll get more a feel for how the materials will react to the given light and therefor I can tweak it to better suit it.

Heres a little go at fixing the issue. I believe before there was a highlight on the end of the logs because of where it kinda curved in, maybe by doin this it looks more log-ish? (:

I don't think Graal 3D should look like that, I can see alot of work being put into it and then them charging up the ass just to play it.

Graal 3D should look more like Phantom Hourglass and Pokemon Diamond

Well I don't think any models he's made so far would be of much use to Graal3D. They're way too high-poly for any use in any game to date, really. Of course I doubt he had gaming in mind so he probably didn't optimize them at all. I'd like to see some more optimized models and such that shows potential to be actually used, though

Especially if we're able to control the camera by script still (maybe not fully, like a real 3D game, but to an extent).

Well, if they planned on still doing it, they should actually hire a team of people to do it so there's no excuse to slack off.

WOW STOP STEALING MY GRAAL 3D IDEAS

Nah but I do think a normal Graal server like Classic transformed into 3D but with Graal's camera angle would be fun.

The camera on Graal3D is scripted, so it's possible ;p

I had the idea of mixing Graal Kingdoms with Warcraft 3, so you had 3d environment similar to Warcraft 3 and 2d monsters and chars like on GK (but 8 dirs and Alarid style xD).

Also would like the 3d editor to be as easy to use as Warcraft 3's then making levels would be even easier then with the 2d editor.
