Listserver should query servers regarding player status

Upon accepting a client connection, the listserver should not only display (probably cached) information like player count about each server, but should also be able to display whether the player is, for example, banned from that server, or whether he can login considering his current upgrade status, or whether he has access to RC.

The client would then be enabled to filter servers that he cannot access anyway, or receive a list of local bans in effect. It would also allow me to find out what servers I still have RC on, which is why it is actually interesting.

The sizable downside of this "improvement" would be the overhead of talking to all the servers every time someone visits the playerlist. I imagine the listserver would need to open a connection to each of the gservers, if he does not already have such a connection open from regular player list updates etc, and send player names, and receive a bunch of flags in return. Caching all this data in the global storage thingy that also stores the password and stuff might prevent actual querying, providing each server pushes the updated datum on each change. It would also extend the amount of data centrally stored by an amount proportional to the amount of servers, so this might suck.

The serverlister already knows about that, but most players are neither banned nor admin on several servers at the same time, so I am not sure if displaying that info would bring a lot ?

For example, admins probably mostly only want to log on the server they are admin on, because that is where they work and stuff, so they simply click the sort-by-adminness instead of searching through the list with RC.
Of course it would not revolutionise the serverlist, but reducing the amount of time spent searching through it is probably a good thing.
