GTA Update Ideas

Attention all Graal The Adventure (Classic) players:

As I'm sure you can tell, there hasn't really been an update in... well, let's not think about how long it's been. Anyway, I have a proposition to make to all Classic players out there. I'm sure some, if not most, of you have some ideas you'd like to see online. This is the part that you play in what I'm about to offer. Starting today there's a contest going on where you (the player) submit your best, or worst, idea that you have for Classic and whichever idea seems to benefit Classic the most (and overall just be the best out of all submissions), will be made into a reality and put on the server. Since Christmas is nearing fast, the contest will extend past Christmas and possibly into the New Year. Please send all submissions to [email protected]. Please do not send any PM's on graal with your submissions, they will be ignored and not taken into consideration. Also, do not post any ideas within this thread. If you have any questions feel free to ask Nightmareangel and/or myself (DamÃ*en).

Honestly, it's fine how it is, just small. Keep adding onto it, don't do anything too revolutionary. The reason I still pay for graal is because I hope it will go back to it's roots. So don't change the roots.

But an NPC server WOULD be nice.

not sure a contest with only one winner will really be much good..If your idea is to add more updates so the players can see their own ideas in the game, i think you should have at least 10 places, or a certain percentage of entrants maybe, that way, more ideas will be seen, more players will be happy, and for all we know, more people like might at least one of the added ideas. If you compare this to one idea, who knows, you may like the idea, but will the majority of the players? Possibly make a voting system between the players (VIP?) to discover what is really the best option :-)

My idea is not to have a npc server -.-... plz? It wont just be classic, just because u guys started 1 year ago doesn't mean that others did.

Do you people not understand the concept of EMAILING the idea? Stop suggesting an NPC Server, just because more and more people suggest it doesn't mean its going to get done any quicker. Just stop. It's not even an idea... is something already being worked on. This is for the current server, understand that and stop saying NPC Server already. Don't even e-mail it as a suggestion. If people are just gonna be stupid about this whole thing then maybe I'll just call it off and it won't happen.

I don't think you have the choice nor the power to recall the NPC Server for Graal The Adventure.

Ah yes, that happens, then Classic develops a worse case of Cancer than it has now, and it dies forever this time.

Ofcourse, why did it happen? Because everyone complainted about ghost mode and then we had to PAY so a lot of people that I knew quit.

I hope no one thought that I was talking about stopping development of the NPC Server, because that's not what I intended. I meant the contest. It's just easier to take in all the ideas when they're e-mailed to me and Nightmareangel, especially when I don't check the forums that often. It just makes things that much easier. I'm not angry at all, as I think brock(?) put it, so I'm sorry if anyone took it that way

Would it not be more productive to channel all your development energy into updating GTA for the NPC-Server instead of wasting time on this non-NPC-Server stuff?

If you mean let VIP people vote? That is horrible... maybe people with more than 180 hours and have logged on in the past 6 months should be able to vote...

Suggestion:


Get the top 5 or top 3 ideas out of all the emails you get, and make a new thread on the graal forums and put a poll. List all three ideas and let everyone decide which idea they like the best, then put it into effect.

I don't like the NPC Server, and, to be honest, I haven't held a staff position since it's been in. It's still new to me and I haven't seen any coding for it, but from what I understand, it is a little different and you can only test scripts online, thus greatly decreasing the number of potential scripters.

As this isn't exactly an idea, but more of a thought, I guess it's ok to post here. The servers on Graal Online, they are in a different style than they were years ago. It feels just like last week when we were typing IP Addresses to access Gservers (Main, Damasca, Odin, Bravo, etc.), accessing Khalaria from a portal on main, or playing multiplayer offline. Now, new features exist, such as Graal-Online hosted servers on a list. With these new changes, Graal has changed. I feel since Graal: The Adventure IS the direct descendent of Main Server, it should perhaps try to return Graal back to it's roots.

I know it may sound risky, but perhaps it would be best to return to a Zelda style of things? Not Zelda necessarily, but how Graal was previously. It was my love for Zelda that got me hooked along for the ride here... If I were to see Graal Online for the first time now, I wouldn't play it.

Npc-server is good, but classic should stay classic!

the problem with classic is that it needs rescripted baddies and secure systems

and no one has finished those

you can't really do a lot of work when there is no foundation to build on

(by the way is Master Storm still active?)
