I think it's horrible.
I've done nothing but lag ever since I downloaded the new version, and I am using cable.

a little bit slower because a lot of people

I hope it DOESN'T bring new people. The server's full enough as it is.

About the Classic ghost mode: I don't like it. If you don't have a pay 2 play account, you are a ghost?! What's up with THAT?! I think that the free players should log in as free players, and newbies should log in as ghosts.

The server is hardly crowded as it is. There's tons of room for more players, and graal is a game that is all about lots of players. Look, it's a good deal..

If 2001 gets a lot of subscribers...

First, Linux Cyberjoeurs Inc. gets a big increase in income,
Then, a lot of players will come onto 2001 server,
Then, we will all be glorified as oldbies, relative to the bunch of newbies,
More "gem" players will be added to the ranks of the demigods,
Roleplaying P2P playerworlds who can't attract many players will be able to sustain a pallateable user base,
The server will expand and quality of service will increase as Cyberjoeuers invests in new capital,
The cycle will introduce a new period of expansion, each subsequent expansion allowing us more prosperity.

The last thing we want is for less people to sign up. It will only kill Graal slowly.

But, every lowlife comes with a new "high-life."
And, if Unixmad has more money, he will be able to purchase faster, dedicated servers for us. So, lag will be no worse. As it is, I think most lag is clientside anyway.

I like the new map feature. It updates the map evertime you enter the paticular area. And the underwater map for classic is very neat. Way to go Stefan!

yes I hope lots of people pay. Graal is really good game and Stefan is really good at what hes doing so he should have more to work with, so more people should purchase accounts and give them more money ^_^.
And most lag is either.

1)Clientside- meaning your computer or your connection is bad.
Like Stefan said the ghosts dont lag. All they do is request the peoples info, they dont send anything back to the server other then they are there. They do load some clientside npc's (like ones that play music) but thats nothing. They dont lag the npc server at all.

2)Server Lag- and I dont mean server speed. Its the actual gserver/npcserver that gets laggy with a lot of people. I notice this when UN is really laggy and then you go on another playerw orld on the same server and it's 0 lag.

Anyways I'll do my best to get more people to try to get p2p accounts. o.o thats a good idea. Server owners should encourage people to get p2p . ill do that more often

Ghost mode is weird. I logged on with my sister's non-p2p account and she was like "let me play" and she was roaming aroudn following people like birdbird and some promo dude and promo hit my ghosty with a bush and that's when I learned that you can harm ghosty. Too bad ghost can't contact you some way. Maybe they can like..show themself every 5 minutes but only for a short time or something. Anyway, it's weird cause now people can go on their non-p2p accounts and spy on you and stuff. At least there is one safe place you can go and that's the Underground Lake because they need a draisine to get down there...unless they go through the other way...

Ghost mode is a guest on a p2p server. Basically anyone with a Graal account can go onto a p2p server and just watch what's going on. They can't talk or they can't participate. Whenever someone who is a ghost gets near us (those people who have upgraded accounts) then we get a small ghost next to our AP bar that tells us they are around

Its a spector mode
You have to have a non-p2p account and goto a p2p server

I LOVE the Ghost mode, but only time will tell if it does help draw new account subscribers or not.

But in ghost mode it just grabs what is currently on the level like a snapshot.. you don't see people moving around on it.. so it's kind of hard to see someone talking unless you go in and out of the level 1000 times.

I seriously hope stefan NEVER makes ghosts visible for us because there could be 500 nonp2p people on the server and we would see every one of them.. THEN there would be lag.

The more people the better, as long as areas get bigger, not the whole map, just the populated areas.. just like in the real world, when and area gets crowded, you expand it. Same concept here.. market will get even more crowded then it already is when 200 more people are on.. imagine the hat shops with a new releasing of hats with 400 people on the server, 250 of them in the shop. @_@;

If graal2001 gets over 300 people on at the same time I suggest areas get bigger.. if it gets 400-500 people on at the same time, I suggest getting faster servers..
