CHMODing is not required since your PHP scripts already have rw access to your directory. However some scripts are badly coded and are trying to find if the directlry he's going to write to is chmoded 777. I recommand you to use normal scripts or to "hack" them to override this [useless] check.

I use like all ftp progs.
I've used Crystal 1 like 3 years ago when EL was up and they used FTP to upload when KA always found out the password then screwed up the server like monthly :O.

Then he became Guild Admin. Most likely because stefan/unix wanted the atks to stop. Then the new RC came out anyway.



Crystal FTP
Leech FTP
Smart FTP
WS FTP
ftp://<username>:<pass>@<site/html/ip etc...>/

or just do
ftp://<site or html or ip or wateva>/
then fill in name/pass

anyway I used lots of FTP progs

Because VIP is a completely seperate thing, duh. It's more like a priviledged beta tester system with special benefits

I would not say that perl is insecure, that makes it sound like it is a bad programming language; but I would say it is harder to restrict for us lowly clients

How am I supposed to do this? I go to the site, and nothing is there. It says log in, I put in my account and pass and it doesn't do anything.. :/ It goes back to the Login page.

i think you are already registered as soon as you log in for the first time. then just use your login info on an ftp client.

if you too lazy to download FTPClient like flashfxp,smartftp,cuteftp....

just use the IE one ftp://account:password@ip:port/path/

eg: " ftp://EsCanavi:[email protected]:21/ "

Isn't there an error message written in red on the login page? The interface should be cookie-safe, however try checking if cookies are enabled.

Odd I signed up with my admin-playerworld account and it says an email was dispatched but I have received none O_o..
I emailed [email protected] I hope that will fix it?

Its the email on the account you signed up with?
Im guessing you used an admin-playerworld which has no email in the account info?
If so, try this:

*Put an e-mail address in the email spot
*Click ok/apply
*Go back to the vip.graal.net thing and login and click 'resend email'

Yeah, I've just noticed that spark910.vip.graal.net and thallen.vip.graal.net redirect you back to the graal.net front page, too. Something seems up with the VIP hostin'.
