About alchemy

would it be possible to have alchemy check if an item is a shield or a helmet or platemail instead of just seeing if the itemname is an exact match?

im just curious...
i know that recipes are gonna be redone but i think it IS a good idea to put like a normal helm in and get a helm of xenibon or helm of lythander

You must know wrong. Recipes aren't going to be done. Do YOU see any results? I see none. This has been a problem for far too long. Do you think game developers like running something that people can easily laugh and think of it as a joke? Some people take their work seriously and people don't laugh at it. I know I would be offended if I poored my heart and soul into something and it were only a laughable matter. Oh wait...maybe that's missing; the part about investment.

The only exact match is the name, if it has a title (of _____) then it doesn't matter. I'm sure that it could be changed so that it just has to have "platemail" or "sword" in the name to work, instead of taking the base item name.

When you make an eye shield, it says it takes an "eye", but a demon or cyclops eye both work
