Always IC while IC?

This is a poll for your personal opinion. Do you think people who are using a roleplaying nickname with a roleplayingtag at the end should have to roleplay (as a rule being enforced by each kingdom). This would mean that any non-roleplay talk that is spoken while using a roleplaying nickname and a roleplaying tag at the end must be made note of in some way (common RP rules by good RPers says to use at least 1 set of parenthesis). I just figured it would be common sense to say "Yes", but it seems so many people believe it's fine to: 1) freely talk OOC while on tag if only friends are around, and 2) freely talk OOC on tag at any time unless it's an event

Note: The bold text is to show how self-contradicting I believe it is to say "no".

Of course it should be in-character, while in-character. How else are we to differentiate between in-character and out-of-character text?

So, if you're in a kingdom that has a rule about always talking IC while on a roleplaying tag, and you want to talk to someone who is in a kingdom that lets them talk freely talk OOC, are you saying you too would freely talk OOC when you can in fact simply put parenthesis around your OOC talk?

Well, normally by using parenthesis. But most people on GK freely talk OOC (while at the same time, most people on GK are using kingdom tags). There's so many excuses for it, but the fact is that if someone wants to be OOC, they shouldn't use an RPing nickname since doing such should make people assume you are IC. Unless the RP story of Graal is now that everyone is a part of an internet game (which it isn't. The site clearly says the Graalians are people from a land that was crashed into by a bomy moon and we all know the resT), I don't see how it makes sense to say things like "lol", "see ya", "pwned", etc... while using a kingdom tag.

I agree wholeheartedly. It seems to me that people are just lazy to either use the brackets, or to just go off tag. I pride myself in being one of the few that actually follows the tag rules.
As it is, I have some rather condemning snapshots of two Zormite and a Samurai not following said rules.

Personal preference. As long as you can differentiate between IC and OOC text, there's no problem.

Yah, I mostly have a problem when its being done during toguilds... You really cant expect people to (()) onscreen.. I know many of you say "I do that" but in fact, you dont, unless a superior is around... =P

At any rate, good poll.

Last time I checked, that was the point of kingdoms.

If you want to hang with friends, don't join a kingdom. Make your own guild (ONCE THE STUPID GUILD THINGEY COMES UP AGAIN ;_; )

We can and should. The people who don't shouldn't be in kingdoms, yet they are and even lead them.

I do that, or I avoid talking all together. If you don't want to RP, you shouldn't play a role-playing game. It's stil possible to play GK without taking a role-playing approach to it. It might be harder though. It should be harder too or else people simply ruin the roleplaying (people get houses...or even worse, allowed in a kingdom, even if they can't/don't RP).
