Suggestion.

Well.. players are always selling in-game items for money in r/l... why not sell in-game items on the website?
I mean people are always doing it so why not make it where the staff sell it? so Graal would get ton's more money and i will have something to buy =P

Intresting. I supose this could be used to raise money for playerworlds. I hear that it costs $100 a year to have your own pw! Thats obsurd, if you ask me. Unix could raise plenty of money, even if it was cheaper, seeing how many pws exist. Anyhow, it could be intresting if the scripting engine would have more suport for external stuff, like sending and recieving information from a database of some kind, etc etc. That way when a play comes online after making the purchase, they find the item magicaly added to thier invantory.

yah, but since when did they care about the quality of the gameplay?

Besides, it doesn't have to be all the items available for sale. Maby just common items, and perhaps mostly decorative ones for things like the 2k2 playerhouses. And maby they could make some items available only for purchase on the webpage. Like it would be cool if for $10, you could buy a playerhouse on 2k2.

Yea like buying items you can only buy in real-life and furniture and armour and stuff.. and maybe even being able to buy a whole lot of items for a good price..
So those who are lazy and have money to spend can get cool g2k2 items! people are always buying graal stuff on g2k2 so.. why not let the graal official staff do it and get lot's of money for graal? and yea maybe even being able to buy pre-made houses.

maybe it'd be better if they made a graalian "ebay" for server items, instead of just generated items. (I don't think buying items for real money is very smart anyways, but my idea would solve the "rarity" problem.)

Do you mean in-game? out of game would be cool for really rare items or houses and would help graal... i mean SOME people would do it so.. the more money the better.

The concept of paying hard cash for virtual items perplexes me...Seems rather stupid.

Most people who play games like diablo dont find it like that though. Go to ebay and search Diablo II items and you will see.
I think it would get graal some money. Like players sell items and GO gets a certain precentage or something. It certainlly wouldn't hurt.

Oh I'm not disagreeing with it. The idea might bring in extra revenue. I'm just saying I think the people who do it are not the sharpest nail in the box.

Tyhm has a spectacular aura about
How about a flag, playersupported? Or a variable for how many times the player has supported this server, ie upgraded with this server as their homeworld and sent the 20% of their upgrade there. Then like on G2K2, you start with more money; on G2K1, more money; on Era, with an alien rifle or whatever...while not necessarily as flexible as your idea, it's 1) a lot easier, 2) there's no definite "I paid $5 for all my plats, and dammit I want them back!" - you got a free gift in thanks for upgrading with us - and 3) gives some servers a better way to encourage upgraders, which makes more money for them, more money for Graal, meaning faster servers and less rate hikes for players....

That's a good idea but what i'm saying is just a Graal Store that official graal server's sell good items on for a small amount of real money.. graal would get alot more money.. and maybe even make it where playerworlds can sell some items from there server on the store too.. i doubt anyone will get the idea going though so it will just be players making money =o

That's not really a good way to "enforce the law"

Agreed! *counts money from this day of "selling his goods"*
By the way, i think it's illegal to sell "in-game-items" for real money in some countries!!!

Not if it's done outside of Graal.
