my opinion in this matter is staff like kai, redwizard and other fair staff talk to stefan or hold a discussion on remote control you need to make him see that giving away free items isnt the way to keep players happy i understand you guys need a reward for your hard work but giving godly weapons isnt the way i think.I also think there are to much godly event items been given out.
Prices should be like trophy's for every 9 trophy's in the game should be like 1 event/godly weapon/armor. and this over a meaby even monthly base would do the trick.i mean having a item that look cwel and is almost unique is good enough for me i dont really need to uber godly stats.

Trophies are disappointing prizes.

I think that for basic events, recolours and semi-unique shields/armour/weapons should be rewarded. .. but not ones with great and godly stats. Just +9 damage or so, or +4 ac on armour .. +1 ac on shields .. nothing amazing, but just something pleasant to the eye and something one can be happy to have.

Yeah, exactly. That is basically what I side most debug people stand on (if I understood you right).

Trophies are disappointing prizes.

Yes exactly. Gave me a good idea to make a better event system...maybe a special kind of currency instead. Maybe not trophies, rather a special coin or something. With them, you can purchase special unique/more powerful items in a game shop. Dunno, might be nice.

Here's something that will make a few people angry...
Base Stats of "Shield of Sorcery":
(speed+1)(ac+3)(armour+15)(resist magic+30)
wt. 25lb

Personally... whenever I get something free... I always ask "Do you want it back?"

Hm... I doubt Stefan would lie about that...
Anyway, Trophies may be nice, but... how about that, people can chose to get a worthless trophy or an item that is avaliable in shops depending on the event, with maybe RoT the highest you can get. Most of the time there should be recolors and maybe slightly improved stuff - as was said before...

He did not recieve it from Stefan, your right.
Stefan told Jagen to give Geovanie the Hammer and Shield.
*Note: That shield is too powerful, I wanted to tell Jagen that a while ago before he released it, but oh well. :o

That's far too powerful for just a shield.

Seriously, have you people learned to get dressed on your own yet?
Look at yourselves, your acting like a 3 year old that don't want to take a bath.
Graal is a game, it's not your life although some of you would obviously like it to be.
I asked Stefan for an item, he said yes, he said he's busy and to have jagen do it, jagen says he don't know how to create those items, jagen tries to create them at a later date and suceeds.

There's your story, now lets see how many of you continue to act with less common sense and intellegence over this GAME then my 3 year old son would.

Why don't you go out for a walk, go to the store and just look around a bit, go do something.
Quit sitting on Graal thinking it's all the exists.

And i'd go into the long story of what I have done on Graal during the time i've played, but at this point I find that of very little improtance.
Perhaps if all the Graal servers went down for about a month some of you would realize a few things, but who am I to judge all of you right?
Then again who are you to judge me?

For those of you who don't like me, well get over it and get on with a real life.
For those who do like me, i appreciate your friendship on Graal.

I've more then likely left something out, but I could care less.
The point is, quit crying over a simple little game.
Wake up and realize that it's nothing but a game, does it really matter if you level up, does it matter if you die, does anything about it matter? NO.

Here it does. These are the Graal Kingdoms forums, where we speak about the game and try to make it as enjoyable for everyone as we can. You getting free items upsets a lot of people, so obviously it matters.

.. oh, and also. You showed yourself to be hypocritical. You wrote a longer post than what most people have written thus far, and in it claim that none of this matters. Yeah, if this didn't matter to you, you wouldn't even be on these forums .. hey, you wouldn't even be playing the game itself. .. because you've got a real life, right? :P

Geo, you're being traditionally idiotic.

1) The amount to which a person values something is decided purely by them. No recreational choice is intrinsically better than any other. So, for example, you consider your relationships with the weaker sex to be an important part of your life and you whine about your problems therewith. I could say that you're taking it too seriously and that it's nothing more than a response to an obselete, neanderthalian instinct, but I choose instead to recognise your right to choose your hobbies for yourself. But don't assume that your hobby is better than anybody else's.

2) We can complain about injustices within Graal without making it a fundamental part of our lives. I barely even play Graal anymore, so how could it affect me? I argue against your selfishness because it offends me, not because of the ingame consequences.

I am far from selfish, you want the stupid items then take them from me cause I could care less if i had them or not.
I was merely trying/wanting to have a little fun, unfortunatly you people take game too seriously.
Go ahead and lecture me again Kai about how I shouldn't say things like that, but the fact remains that it is nothing more then a game.
I mean I allready put 100 diamonds, 1 prepare weapon scroll, 4 improve weapon damage scrolls, and 3 enchant armor scrolls into those items and i'm pretty sure that with the way you people are crying I won't get any of that back if the items are removed.

It makes me sick to see people acting like this over a game, I don't care what you say.
And Kai as far as me complaining about my love life... Well excuse me but if you don't care about love from the opposite sex are you *** or something?
Everyone in their right mind wants someone to love and someone to love them.
So don't try telling me that a game on the internet and love are the same in any aspect.

Sure, and that's totally consistent with the fact that you endlessly bugged Stefan about them.

I've already addressed this. Go back and read points one and two again.

And again. Extra slowly this time.

Nay, I am merely in sufficient control of my mental faculties to realise that:

A) Such things would not achieve anything worthwhile.
B) They would change me in ways I don't want to be changed.

Quote:

Yes, of course! I'm just a crazy guy! Good defense! If you ignore my massively superior intellect and decide that I'm just insane then you can happily dismiss all of my points and save your brain the strain of answering them!

They're the same in the regard that they are both merely recreational pursuits. You choose to needlessly obsess over one, yet you criticise others because you percieve that they are doing the same over another.

You have proved yourself 110% wrong, geo. Go outside? Get some air? You just said you have 100 diamonds, all that other stuff, which takes hours, heck, days to obtain! Which means you, yourself, are obsessed with playing it, maning you don't go outside yourself, meaning you are a *****, meaning you care about what happens in this game. Which means you should have the items removed.

Why do I get the feeling that GL is trying to weild his age and "maturity" over us?

However, the fact that he plays it too makes his arguments simply laughable.

Telling us to get lives, questioning Kaimetsu's sexual orientation, etc...

I don't know; I suppose I was wondering if I was the only one laughing at what GL was saying.

It IS just a game Geo... but then why did you ask for the items in the first place hmm? You were saying you were trying to have fun? Does this mean your trying to prove that asking Stefan for items is fun and works? Geo... you may think it's a small thing... but it aint...

But... I'd have to admit... part of the problem is me... I've been keeping the origional Shield of Sorcery to myself since the day it was first seen... which prolly made it such a big issue to begin with...

Astonishing.

I do have one comment though.

Geo, no matter what you have done for graal. You haven't done anything besides attempting to make a name for yourself.

Sure you created n-pulse shortly after damasca was created, sure you was co manager for alot of servers.

But, I don't see what you did that allowed you to earn items that people win in contests.

Its almost as if you saw someone win a noble peace prize, so you threatened the presidents life (thats going to a extreme) for one.

This may just be a "Game", but this isn't single player.

Of course those items must be removed, the only item I agreed to was the talisman which Geo needed to get restored. The items of Darklux will be removed (or from the one who has it now), because he broke some rules. He got the item for the translation work.

It matters not, not a thing any of you have said matters.
No need to take the items back Stefan, and there was definatly no need to make me look like a liar.
You said after the big easter event that I could have something, and there was never an amulet to restore.
I'd go into more detail but why does it matter when the last thing here I need to say is
Go read the "Farwell give-away" topic and be happy that there's no more Geo to put up with, because he has better things to do in life then put up with kids on a game (namely put up with his own kids), and I will definatly NOT play a game where the "maker" of the game lies to save his own ass and reputation.

Me leaving has nothing to do with this topic at all, I was merely out of town for a few days, done some thinking, and decided it was time to lay down the childrens games and do something better in life.

Anyway, Stefan... Here is my list of demands:
1.) Restore my wisdom exp up to level 16, I don't think its fair you restored Locke's and not anyone elses.
2.) Restore my Alchemists Tailsman.
3.) Take away Aurons special stuff too and anyone else who got it.
4.) Unban Infinite, he didn't know it was illegal, since it is not in the code of conduct.

Haha...getting Stefan to read a thread works wonders, doesn't it? I just don't think he realized the players felt so strongly on it, and the players are the ones he should listen to.

Oh and geovanni, stop the BS, Stefan did not give you the items, and I doubt he was planning on it, Jagen made a error on giving you the items, now Stefan will/has fixed it. Btw, where is your goodbye message? I am not seeing it in the hello/goodbye forums...hurry it up!

I guess you should take in-game stuff no too serious, there are always people complaining. About the items: Yes I said you can ask Jagen to add your items, but I didnt know anything about hammers or shields. You asked for getting some of those for holding events, but not as free personal items x-x Those will not be given out to staff anyway anymore because players are only complaining about that, making the game harder for people with those items.

For christ sake stefan. You ruined the game with all these super powerful event items. All event weapons should have a max damage of 9, and no restances or different damage types other than physical. (Unless of course it is a fire sword or something).

If you want them super stong weapons, then you need to do other things like make it more easier to get them. -_- The econmey is ruined anyway, this game is sad. It really is. The only thing that keeps people from leaving is friendship between players and the competition -- the feeling of being the best at something or having one unique thing someone else doesn't. Once you accomplish doing things like this, the game gets boring and people quit.

I didnt add those items x-x I guess kondidias added them because people were requested those, although back in that time you could also do random alchemy and get quite powerful items other ways.

Man, you should really have more control over the staff with access to add things on GK. I don't think that anyone should have access to NC (Besides to reconnect it) or to the mudaccounts.

This issue cannot be ignored now, and if it is it will be too late to fix. You are losing loyal subscribers -- players that sticked with the game for a long time -- because of this and the fact that once you are strong, it gets boring, and there is nothing left too do.

You just need to sit down with Unixmad one afternoon, well, that might be hard since you sleep in the afternoon and work during the night, but anyway, talk with him about it. You, Tyhm and Unixmad could really fix GK up if you thought about it and looked at other MMORPGs for examples.
