Possibly GFX For Town portal?

If I animated this.
By adding each of the pictures to an animation.
Would this be good for a portal?

I'm impressed, they're both very good. I thought of town portal as being more of a bluish colour, and more of an ovalish shape, but that's very cool! Good job! I'd give it a nine out of ten, on both.

9/10 on them. I think the portal should be more tall though, that's a little flat for Kingdoms. O_o

Sounds a bit like another Town Portal I've seen... ^.~

Anyway Yeah, they look nice. 8.5/10 or whatever.
You might try making the fire on the Protection thing a little brighter like with oranges and yellows. You could change the shape a bit too... Just saying this, because it almost looks like a sillouette of a body lying in a pool of blood...:-/

Don't worry, it can be animated the way weapons and such are, through ganis.

I could set it up so those images showed as light effects in the gani, I think that would look better than solid color. Even if I did, I dont think town portal or demension door spells will be enabled. I asked stefan about both and he didnt like the idea of warping..although there is plenty of ways to balance the warping system to make it fair. Heh, sucks because I have them both..

The other icon is just a recolor of the default protection icons it looks like...and there has already been a custom icon made for protection against cold, that doesnt look anything like that or the original protection icon. I think we will be moving away from that style for the protections.

I know I did recolor it...
all the spells icon should be same but each barrier should be different color representing the element.
I don't want them all different pictures.

For example, I have the spell "protection from magic", the spell "protection from cancelation", and the spell "protection from attack"....what colors would you suggest for those?

Town Portal and Dimension Door are part of the game! Put them in .. but just balance them out, ne? Ah, it would help a lot in travel ..

How about you cast a portal anchor when you're in a town, and then the next time you cast Town Portal, it takes you to that town? However, it would only work to travel to towns on the same island. (So you can't town portal an army across islands)

the portal thing is okay...but I'm not sure if that style of graphic would fit into GK..it might look okay tho..just not sure HOW it will look like

why the hell aren't icon's finished? they are like 32x32 images and theres like only 30 of them?? I could do em all in like 1 hour so why aren't they done? this is ridiculous -_-

I was thinking for town portal.
The bells that are in each town could be tiable
maybe if you cast town portal to the bell.It will attune it self to it.
And each time you cast it, it will warp you there.

Or maybe a statue, same idea.

Or... Attune your town portal to the bell and then you aqquire a Portal Gem, when you use it a portal will open.
1 use. Until you go back and attune your spell to it.
You can only 1 have spell attuned to the bell. 1 town. 1 gem.

I believe there are about 130 icons needing to be done, and I at first thought they would be easy. I cam to realize, the graphics themselves are very easy, but actually coming up with a solid idea...man for 1 icon you could think for hours.

Protection from attack would be gray or something, proection from magic could be black, but a lighter color so you could see the person in the middle, and protection from cancelation would be purple or something.

Also, last I heard, town portal was meant to travel to some islands and things, not go from town to town on main

Town portal, dimension door .. and let's not forget the priest's best friend, word of recall! How can you just ignore these spells? I think they should definitely be added, in some way or another. Even if just for transporting over long distances (between islands and such). I didn't learn word of recall just to randomly waste a ton of my grace and see a little message appear.
