Blessing weapons

Recently, a friend blessed a weapon for me using Ogma. After it had been ID'd and everything, it said that it didnt do poison damage. I was under the impression that blessed Ogma weapons did poison damage. Does he need to pray longer to get it poisoned? Or is this deliberate?

Ogma enchants weapons in two phases, first it becomes of Ogma, and then after awhile it does poison damage.

Same with Govannon Swords. After a while, it gives its magic to the sword.

Has anyone experimented enough to know whether high-level gods bless in 3 stages? I've tried with Govannon, but no luck on #3. Hold on a sec, let me find the quote.....

maybe the most desirable blessing for weapons

....yet unless I'm missing something, (slay goblin/giant)(weaponmagic) isn't a particularly desirable blessing. Nice, yes, but the best? Has anyone gotten anything better?

I believe that if the altar effects can do a enchantment (low) that is only the God's name and their effect (poison, magic), (medium) would be +1 and high would be +2...that's what I think..so if they don't have high enchantment they can't do +2

four stages for ogma?

1.) it becomes a weapon of ogma
2.) it adds poison damage to weapon of ogma
3.) it becomes a weapon of ogma + 1 adding 1 to damage and weapon class
4.) it becomes a weapon of ogma + 2 adding 2 to damage and weapon glass
