Lag is really getting to be an annouence. I have died today while in the dungeon, the area with the t-rexes. I was hitting a t-rex when my hp got pretty low so I ran to a safe spot. When I was running to it a wolf slashed down, it was at a distance of 5 players from me. Then it said I died. I don't want my stats restored or my exp or anything, but I would like this lag problem to be fixed. It has happened to me many time and I am sure it has happened to lots of other people lots of times.

That's more in your computer than Graal's fault. x.x

Lag still happens...
I run on a 3000CPU and yet the game still lags.
I just figured out something on graal over the past week.
If the server list's players exceed 70 it will be very laggy.
The server has not been optimized...
This is why we need Ping Sockets

What? Are you calling my computer crappy? I have a cable modem but I guess that doesn't help. The Graal network is laggy.

No Stefan DOESN'T expect everyone to have top of the line computer...numorous times he has stated that his trying to make graal playable to people who have low in computer...

Its a problem with Nvidia GFX cards mainly.

My computer pretty much sucks ;_; sometimes I lag sometimes I don't, usually depends on what server I'm on, 2k2 has lag hell a lot, I just suck it up and run away while I'm at medium health so that lag mistakes don't kill me :X

Lag isnt realy caused by your computer specs. Slowdown is, but lag isnt.

Lag is caused by your modem. If your modem is too slow then it cant send and receive data fast enough.

You may have a cable modem but whats its kb/s?

i have cable and i get 300 kb a sec off of kazaa and webservers easly...and i lag way too much on graal2002...i cant even outrun some bomys...and my running stats are up

Then it sounds like you're not suffering from lag. You're suffering from having a weak computer.

I have a 300 Mhz computer and can play quite good, the new exe (rev6) is also fixing some slowdowns. But it's true that the wolfes are quite laggy and take a lot of CPU time, I will fix them to only move when a player is near and so that they don't stack up.

i find the lag betetr that it was before but it still has "server burps" quoted my Girum how your in the dungeon and then all of the guys free and you hack at them and when it comes back (ruffly 30-60 seconds) the guy is dead.....but the players can still move and you can see others move so its not like its dangreous to were people will die its actually an advantage but still should be fixed...

Thanks, but I am still expiriencing server lag problems. At least the problem don't include the wolfs anymore. X_X


I died 2 times in a row from server lag. I am sure that it was not my modem(cable, doesn't really make a difference though) and that it was server lag because after my bps dropped to 0 for a while I closed Graal and instantly diagnosted my modem. Everything checked out fine with my modem so I got back on to see that I died. I went back into the dungeon and thought "Oh well, I will just earn it back.". I didn't get far when server lag struck again. I did the same as I did before and my modem checked out working perfect. This time I wasn't thinking oh well, I was pretty mad that I quite a few hp, grace, magic, and exp. Is it possible for Graal Kingdoms to get a more stable network, or can it be made so that after your bps hit 0 it imidiatly disconnects you? I think a big problem is that if you lag even when you close Graal your character stay on for a while after, this is one of the reason I died both times. I would also extrimely appriciate it if I can be restored, I mean very extrimely appriciate it. I lost so much that I don't feel like playing, may not be much to you but it is to me.

Am I the only one who is expieriencing this problem? I also don't mean to whine or keep makeing threads on it, but what am I suppose to do? Just die and be like =), even when I can't prevent it.

if you are experiencing difficulties from client side overload or lag I suggest you go into peaceful mode and check out of dungeons everynow and hten... it may be slower on getting exp, but it sure does help out in the long run :P

I am going to do that, but I really hope that I get restored. When it happens once I don't mind but twice in a row gets me sad and it makes me not want to play Graal.

Edit: I am sorry that I edit so much, it is that I don't want to double post and get anyone mad.

I really don't think it is fair that I am going to have to go into peaceful mode, which will make it take longer for me to level up because of this problem. Can any of my suggestions be implimented? Can anyone come up with a better suggestion?

I don't have frame lag problems. It isn't like I am walking and things are slowly loading and my charachter isn't moving smooth. It is like this, I will be killing monsters and everything will be fine, then my bps dropps to 0 out of no where. This happens to me very rarely though but when it happens 85% of the time I die.

Ok, let me reexlplain what happens. I will be in the dungeon killing monsters, everything running perfectly smooth, then my bps will go from my normal speed to 0. Everything will seem to be froozen(on Graal), it isn't that Graal isn't responding cause I can move around. I don't see monsters move, unless it is the gani they were doing before my bps went to 0, and I can not see players move. When it happens sometimes if I am lucky and I close Graal fast enough the monsters don't kill me. Sometimes I die even when I close it real fast because my characters stay online for a certaint amount of time even after you get off. Then sometimes I don't realize it or keep Graal open my bps stay at 0 until a message comes up saying something like "You have been disconnected from the game server."

Reasons why I want to be restored:
1) I can't do anything to prevent it, not that I know of.
2) It isn't my fault.
3) Restoring me would be the right thing to do.

I am not demanding or saying that my account must be restored. I am trying to politely ask and wondering if there is anything I can do to prevent this, stop this from happeneing, or get this fixed. If you are staff that can restore please tell me if you will and don't just leave me wondering. Just a simple yes or no will do. Also I wouldn't be asking if it didn't happend 2 times in a row.

I think number three is a little suspect. Disconnections from the game server happen with every MMORPG, unfortunately. Perhaps it could be coded so that your character just runs away from all baddies when you go linkdead.

Kaimetsu, not to say that yours is the most expanded of all the world, but it seems your vocabulary is quite a bit larger than some others here.
