Timemutt

If you have recently visited Timemutt.com, please
READ BELOW for an Important Warning.

Timemutt.com was recently affected with the Happy Time Worm (virus).
Once infected, this worm slowly attacks all HTML and Visual Basic Files,
causing them to interfere with the ActiveX on your computer and generally
slowing down processing speed. (Extensions .vbs .html .htm .htt .http)
If you have recently visited Timemutt.com it is important that you complete
the following steps to ensure you do not have the virus.

1. Clear Temporary Internet Files, History Files, and Cookies. -
This is done differently for each browser; if you cannot find yours, perform
the following steps. Enter the start menu. Selecting the sub-category
'settings' and click on 'control panel.' Double click 'internet options'. Click
the three buttons to clear all of the temporary files.

---
Opposite (8/15/2002 8:11:51 AM):

Mass message:
2. Remove Unnecessary Files - Either by using Disk Cleanup
(recommended) or manually deleting files, remove old files and programs
no longer used (frees up space, speeds up scan, reduces files to be
infected). Disk Cleanup can usually be accessed at:
Start Menu > Program Files > Accessories > System Tools > Disk
CleanUp.

3. Scan for Viruses - Use a scanning virus detector (it's too late for a
download monitor), search your hard drive for the worm. An excellent one
is located at downloads.com <http://download.com.com/3001-2239-
10114306.html> (30 day trial only but works well).

~Timemutt

dont matter if its closed u still get the damage from it if u visited

Acculy when ever you visit a site you download things.
You download the the Graphics and they are put into a Temp Folder.
Also when your computer visits a site, it will download the site and make it into a .html and store it in a temporary folder and that can be a virus.

Well.. the Code Red virus affected win2k/nt users by way of websites. Through ActiveX I think.

My virus scanner eats every virus it sees but I'm not going there. I encourage everyone else not to too unless Googi scans for viruses or anything o.o

Neonight:

Anyone who doesn't use anything for virii/viruses (Norton, McAfee, etc.) shouldn't be on the internet. -_-

Besides, one of the FAQs started massing on her tag saying "omg i was infected" blah blah. The virus wasn't even a bad one, at that. She was saying it spread into email, etc. It's basically spyware. People who look at many sites with advertisments probably have spyware on their computer. Each day I run Ad-aware, and I have two or three from double-click and such. They may not be spyware, but they have weird coding in them.

Like I said, if you're one of the idiots going around saying "omg this sent to my best friend and it sent to their best freind this iaz conspiracie," then you, sir or madam, are an idiot.

(Sorry for double post)

He's correct. The midi is gone. Norton no longer pops up. I don't see why anyone wouldn't like timemutt...

So you're saying the main server (the one that started it all) shouldn't be official? Ok! Let's get it run by some idiots and call it Maloria 2! -_- You, sir, are an idiot.

It was a good server in it's time, but due to the players who play it, it's time is up.

Well, that's a bit harder, 2K1 hasn't been overrun by people getting married and "leet PKers", but they are increasing it's number, so yes, it is safe to say doom for 2K1 is not far off.

Uh who cares? The kids can do what they want, if marriages and stuff is what they want that's their choice. You can't just say "Oh no I don't think the same as them and due to our difference in opinion about what makes a good server this server should be shutdown" The marriages and so called "leet" PK'ers aren't a problem in my opinion, the true problem is the *****s who go around cursing all the time. I mean one or two words is cool but when they start stringing them together into complete cursing sentences it get's out of hand.
