I like the first one better.. you might want to shorten the feet on it a bit though.. it will give it a more 3/4th view effect and not look like the players feet are dangling.

1's better, but i don't really like either of them. i suppose it's because as you said they arne't detailed yet? or maybe it's because the head makes them look stupid.

Look and those and say they aren't detailed.

I wouldn't worry about it though, the body is the thing you see when you first start out so armor and such will be covering it. And there are more then that head, so it will be fine.
