The Fixable?

I started another thread (first one in few years) to help point out a few flaws GK has and maybe together we can work on solutions.

Can staff please move this to proper section. Oddly it posted in the wrong section as a result of "preiveiw post" button. Not sure if its a forum problem or browser bug. (using google chrome btw)

Hair does not properly change when wearing a helmet that is hidden. And in

• some cases even with nelmet at all.
  
• Post office says letters are free. They cost 2 silver coin (not a bug but a typo that has been neglected for many years)
  
• Arrows seem to be dupeable if you disconnect your internet and shoot a few then pick them back up.
  
• Blowtube allows you to shoot arrows you dnt even have by pressing s+d. (shouldnt this check if player has arrows :o )
  
• Lords seem to walk on walls (no wall checks? no wonder they get stuck sometimes)
  
• Players can glitch sword gfx by switching weapons while weilding a shield (pressing d)
  
• Trade tables seem to be still bugged to allow scamming. (I reccomend everyone be safe and only trade with trusted people in bomboria)
  
• Pillory is worthless, if you reconnect when being pillored you can get right out of it.
  
• Modem tapping still seems to be possible.
  
• Crypt doesnt spawn monsters 50% of the time.
  
• Crypt sometimes warps each member in the party into there own crypt level.
  
• Ice cubes can be made by dropping an item onto ground and freezing it. If you do not move and do this again however the item you are freezing does not get frozen but an icecube appears.
  
• Trade table does not have any check as to if players maximum weight is exceeded. There goes the point of having houses, just have a trusted f riend trade the items to a guest account or a trial. Then you can have a house in bomboria trade much closer then any kingdom island.
  
• Blessings dissapear from thrown spears.
  
• Zombies seem to to spawn ontop of each other or there grave and get stuck. Easy fix is to kill them but I never advise ignoring bugs no matter how small.
  
• Directors can be placed way to close together. This is illegal, however, hypocritcally enforced.
  
• Waterglass event doesnt show you instructions on how to play untill you either first lose or win the event. Would be neat to have instructions BEFORE you start.
  
• Wisdom stat shows up as 21 in inventory but 20 when /statistics. If it is common knowledge, and accepted that 21 is possible for wisdom, can we not make it display properly in the /statistics? Or can re remove the 21 glitch and give all those who have it there gold keys back?

I have offered to fix these bugs for Tig since he is to busy with other projects.

Its more of a high-admin only thing, he's not going to give RC and all folder rights to you so you can update a few bugs.

I don't know if even Tig has rights to fix most of these, small as they are. That's one of the curses with Kingdoms Debug, in that Stefan normally has to transfer all changes, no matter how small.

Agreed. But Stefan is a reasonable person, who I would like to think cares about his customers enough to upload simple bug fix's. I'm not asking stefan fix them him self but when lots of bugs are presented, someone should.

Doesn't stefan upload stuff form debug to the main server? hmm... would be pretty cool if the bugs were fixed on debug first then transfered during the next quartely update (if any).. or next holiday update even I'm not picky. I tried hard to find it but some of these bugs have already been mentioned in another thread I made from years ago. I would have thought they would have been fixed by now.

On the note of "small" bugs, the progress bars in your Health, Mana, Grace and Food overlap and hide the text if you get them down near zeroed, then replenish them.

Near 0 being 1, or actually at 0? Becuase i have noticed it is possible or has been in the past to get down to 0 HP and not die. But never experienced that as a bug.

Does this apply to both winder and summer themes?

Near 0 being pretty much anywhere left of the text denoting in numerical form how much you have left of each, or in the case of Grace, even going into the negatives then replenishing.

I'm not sure if it happens in the summer theme though. Although I've been off and on GK for a lot of years, I've never really played as solidly as I have this winter.

I would assume its just a GFX change from winter to summer tho but, this is gk nothing surprises me anymore lol. Do you have a screenshot of this maybe? I can't really picture the bug in my head and I usually know about all of the known and unknown (to others) bugs lol.

Seems like another rage thread disguised with minor bugs. Most of which I could careless be fixed, and would prefer clean fresh new content instead.

On a side note, How is them being placed close together a problem/illegal? Directors are used for strategic purposes.

Stay on subject please? And, GP's can only monitor the server while they are on. So if a rule says no blockade then theres no blockade. Just because a gp is not on does not bend this acception.

According to dictionary (dot) com. (sorry did not know if it was approiate to post links unfortunatly thats the name of the website :o)

By this definition, any and all KNOWN bugs should be fixed. And its an imperfection since blockading is not allowed and there is no way to destroy directors (only walls) using Earth to Dust.

I can't replicate it on V5, so I'm guessing a certain someone I consulted with about the bug was either mistaken by what I meant when asking if it were GK or if I should report it as a V6 bug, or they were just messing with me Which from that certain someone wouldn't be a surprise either. I'll slot it in with V6 bug reports.
