Graal Kingdoms House - 3D

Heres the start. After about 15 minutes, just poking about with the roof at the moment. Materials dont matter; randomness of tiles and such are the main factor here.

Shouldn't the tiles be longer? The ones on the screenshot look like they are.

Hmm, this one I wanna see finished.

Window and a part of the building. Yes the perspective on the graal viewport distorts proportions as it doesn;t follow a realistic structure, i will therefor extend some tiles' length but keeping the overall tile count the same.

I can see the GK roofs do not do that, but that's how they are typically done and it really looks weird when they're aligned like that.

Thats right, typically some roofs are done like that, however I have worked with roofs before and understand their traits.

Here is an example of a real world roof that I have previously made, they do not interlock in the way you are thinking. Interlocking them will remove the graalian charm.
Therefor im making it a priority to stick to the images as closely as possible, down to the RGB values.

I noticed the pen jutting out of the signs frame a bit and thought it would be cool to make this a kind of modern looking sign as a result. I'm not sure if this is what Graal kingdoms had intended but I think it could work for this purpose.

Oh my gosh this is excellent :O

My one and only reservation lies within the dimensions of the roof. You're trying to follow the GK image as a direct model, right? That's nice...but.. translated into 3d the building looks so shallow. In my opinion you should make the roof extend to be twice as deep as it currently is to make it more of a box

Thanks for all the comments! i agree with the dimensions of the roof making the house look too narrow, I will pull them out a bit and see if it helps. When i pulled it out before it just looked too long and boxy, so maybe by indenting the roof toward the middle may help.. ill show you what i mean when I do it (:

You can notice now that to break away from the monotony of a "technical drawing to 3d " feel, ive tried to break up any straight line i see. Even the front of the house has a surved shape, as you can probably notice from the underside screenshot. This also acts as a bowl shape, catching light and shadows. So in a technicaly sense it will make the house look a bit more stylized because of the way the Global illumination and light will get cast and the way the shape is designed to catch it (:

Couple more wooden beams, you cant see it but the side is added and theres a bit more geometry cleanup (:

Eidt: ++ Windows. Still workin on them, they arent the final windows, just placeholders; if you will.

Near complete working model.

I'd love to see a Graal Classic house in 3D.

And I mean original tileset.

Nice house man, way too high poly for online use though.

That specific one was not designed for online use, but the only things making it high poly are the meshmooths of which the iterations can be reduced and thus decreasing the polygons greatly.
