We're going to be putting on some events from 6:00 PM (EST) February 14th to 12:00 AM (EST) on February 15th (Or 16th, however you want to look at it).

It'll include some new weapons to play with, some staff run events and some automated ones as well. I don't want to spill too much information so you'll have to come look around yourself to figure some of it out.


Also releasing our automated Auction system, since there seems to be auctioneer drama going on every day of the week.. Funny story.

Haven't updated the version on PJ yet. I went back and redid it.

-Cupid randomly spawns every hour in the server's focused city, Conner/TC. He's a quirky guy who flies around and shoots people with his mystical bow. The person who lands the most hits on this guy will become the new owner of the Cupids Bow NPC. Functions as a PK weapon & advanced "dating" weapon.. (Like released @ nationz 2005) - This means that there'll be times at like 3:00 AM where noone is on and Cupid is just chillin'. So, won't be hard to get the bow then.



-We'll also release a Valentine's NPC who will sell you novelty items. One of which, being the roses you may or may not have seen on the server already. It'll be inexpensive, and cost EP. (I think the most expensive item is 20 EP).

Those are awesome and well-thought out ideas for a holiday(the cupid thing). I like. Do this more, please(Classic please take note).

edit: Hmm... hold on. Does Cupid randomly spawn, and whoever gets the most hits owns the bow for the hour until he respawns again? This is what I assumed from your post. I really like the sound of that, but I reread your post and it sounds like whoever hits him the most will win the bow at the end of the holiday... don't like the sound of that as much, but still nice.

Well, I think that UN would grow bored with something like that. If we did it, it'd have to be worth having it for an hour. He'll spawn rougly around 30 times, so, 30 people will have his bow. Making it still, a rare weapon to own.

To answer the question, everyone will have it.


For the books, holidays are one thing I love to do. I made my first step towards management by running Halloween last year when our manager was inactive. (HARD TO DO with the rights of a GAT)

To answer the question, everyone will have it.

You'd be surprised how much people like novelty items, no matter how worthless they are. Still a creative idea, I just like the idea of a more tournament-focused direction than an 'everybody wins' sort of thing.

I thought it worked like this:

• Every hour cupid spawns in a random city. Whoever deals the most damage in the spawning wins his bow until he is spawned and killed again. After someone else wins in, the last person loses it.
• Whoever has it last(like a hot-potato sort of thing, completely random), wins it for the year.

Sadly though, since it's a yearly thing it's a bit extreme, but people love those sort of competitions. It would really get a server worked up and involved in the event if it means they get a one-of-a-kind NPC for a whole year to show off. It doesn't even have to be powerful, as long as they could show it off.

Still, like I said I like your idea. Creative and new(Graal needs more of it).

Yea, well not EVERYONE will win. I worded that wrong, I suppose.

Only around 30 people will have the weapon by the end of our event. So, whoever knocks cupid down will get it.


I've done alot of neat-o sort of Holiday things like this. If you're interested in hearing of some of them, I'd be more than happy to let you know. (Good publicity for the passerby to read it too )

I won't show it to him right now, but over Halloween I focused on two themes, one was our questing theme through a spooky Halloween town, the other was the spooky zombies.

~I got together with out ET Dev team and told them my idea: We have a graveyard setting, once the event starts, zombies start to spawn. ET's will have the ability to change how fast zombies spawn, anywhere from one every four seconds, to one every 5 milliseconds. (or something). Players get a gun, kill zombies. Last man standing wins.

~Zombie virus. One person on the server gets infected, slows their movement and sets them to a zombie outfit/gani. They have the ability to bite/grab at people instead of slashing their sword. There's like a 70% chance that the virus will be spread from that person to the next.. (Making two zombies, two zombies making three, three making sixe.. so on and so forth). There's a certain time limit for it, so after a good I think 7 minutes, the virus dies in the person, and they're revived in our OSL. Idea is to infect the entire server, for kicks.

~Halloween quest wasn't much to bluff about. Jack the pumpkin deity loses his head, gotta find a pumpkin in a haunted house to get him a new one. You got a broom NPC to navigate the GMAP or an orb NPC to push/pull people around.

All features of the planned event released:

-Second floor of OSL is an NPC who will sell you novelty items. (Roses, Potions and Chocolates)

-Cupid respawns hourly, on a much better time scale now. (Before it was off like two minutes).

He will respawn 23 more times until the event closes down.

-Cupid ends spawning tonight at 12:00 AM (EST).. 1 1/2 hour(s) from now.

His bow has been modified to the last state:
-Cupid's bow will work on a three sort of scale level. It's a magical bow, so it'll obviously do more than a regular bow.

If you have 50 AP your bow will do nothing but spread the love.

If you have less than 50 AP, you will do .5-1.0 dmg (changes depending on how low it is. Less than 20 is 1.0 dmg)

If you have more than 50 AP, you'll heal whoever you shoot for .5-1.0 hearts (same as damage, higher your AP, the more hearts you heal)

Come check us out before Cupid heads home!

Yea, that was the idea. We tried to make an NPC adapted to UN, but won't be pointless to those who idle for the 100 AP.

I was GAT Admin for almost year->Server Admin for like two weeks-> Then became Manager.
