Mario Clone

I thought I'd try revamping the original Super Mario tiles out of boredom.

While I like that perspective more, as it gives the tiles more life, and eliminates flatness... I don't see it being possible to really pull off any kind of actual depth with that perspective, and tiling is a pain in the ass.

So... sadly, I redid them in the traditional flatness of Super Mario. I don't like them that much, but I have plans to give them some life that I'll try tomorrow.

i suggest a 2 pix outline with #898989 or so

the clouds dont look really natural, make them look more dynamic

I like the weird perspective one, sure your'e going to have some perspective issues but hey, they were awesome.

Looks nice the clouds should be improved though and some more variation for the ground, not just a repeating (slighty modified) block

Heh, well I through the clouds together pretty quickly before I posted it, as the sky looked pretty bland.

As for the ground, well I think I'm going to completely scrap these and start over as I don't like them... but the initial idea was the replicated the Mario levels, which were repeated blocks.

I don't think the original mario had the blocks so thick though, weren't they only one block high?

Well I was using a map of world 1 as a basis, which shows ALL the blocks.
Either way, I'm redoing this when I get the chance.
