this is an AK47 i worked on. i drew a box, then erased some stuff. please be as critical as you can.

Well.. Firstly I think the clip is WAY too close to the handle. Second.. The shading. I mean its not all THAT bad.. atleast you're trying to establish a lightsource. But I think you are making your colors too close together, it also kinda seems lowly saturated and lacks in contrast. But I see you're getting better man. Keep up the good work.

wow... the first time i have ever heard that... and especially from one of my favourite developers... cool, ty!


o and i spent some time working on the AK, and is this one good? its the first time i tryed the shading different, and i used the refrance, any better?

The wooden handle on the bottom is still too short.

That doesn't look like an AK! An AK is much bigger.

EDIT: I'm just commenting on the relative degree of judging whether something looks like something else. His thing looked close enough to me.

Its better, but your colors are very bland and the handle is little small. When your GFXing try to visualize in your head a light source coming from an angle. In this case you should probably position a light source some where on top of the gun, it gives it a nice effect and not such bland gfx.
