Cool New Zone
Zone is now free-to-play and item-based!

- New players can play without observer mode and can access more classes
- More advantages for Gold players: you can assign hotkeys to weapons
- You can play with mouse: shoot by left and right mouse key and cycle through hotkeyed weapons with mouse wheel

We are also hiring an Asistant Administrator for Zone to bring more life into Zone, check out this thread if you are interested:

The new mouse stuff is additional, the keyboard controls still work fine. Also you can cycle through weapons with keyboard by pressing Page Up/Down. We can also add an option to disable mouse controls if the shoot-on-click thing is annoying for some oldbies.

I prefer to call it shoot-on-mouse, but that's okay.

Also you can disable hotkeys the same way you set them, but instead of typing in the key after you press the button in the bottom right (so it says "Type") in the Q-Menu you press your DELETE key instead of the key you want to set an item's hotkey for.

Weapons like the Scifi-pistol are quite good, also we are working on several new weapons. The gold upgrade currently gives you: 100 hp, all classes, highscore, guild tags, unlimited PMs and mass-PMs, use of all looks (hairs, heads, body etc.) and now also the hotkey-function and cycling through weapons.

In the shop you can buy: ammo packs (much more ammo), pipe bombs and gas grenades, many powerful weapons (chainsaw, green rifle, Magnum, Scifi Pistol etc.) and also Zone Gold using Gelats.

Err all that was there still is, except ammo (which I hope they put back on.) IMO only guns (besides BR and RR and Jetpack) and NEW types of ammo that go with the guns that are in the shop (not all, just it it's a new type that goes with only guns that are only available in shop) should be there.

uhh I don't know if this isfor this thread, or the V5 bug forum, anyway after logging on GK I went into OB mode (that's not the prob) and then came back to Zone and I had half-screen, here's a screen shot

I don't like the shooting mouse thing. Its anoying, i click on zone one time and i equip rps and shoot. Boo. Makes people know i'm not afk. Canyou make a way to turn it off and on? >->

I take it back about this being so great. I'm lagging so hard in the new zone I can barely even move, let alone combat freely. Any ideas on how I can make lag stop owning me over and over?

No. if it did, noone would upgrade cept the rich bastards who don't even play the game, they just become p2ps as soon as the make an account(I just saw a new recruit with 72 deaths and 6 kills and had all the p2p gunz and bells) and then the game will go bankrupt and dissapear
