I think you should add more detail to the beam << i look at the way you seen it shooting and it seems a little off to me.But hell, What do i know.

It doesn't have the light effect yet, it'll look hot when/if it got scripted in.

Ok, first, stop with the mega triple quadruple posting etc...

The gun has potential but I think, personally, it's too blocky...you need to add depth to parts of it and such.

does it needs to be more darker collors?
how is the right immage then?
is it too dark?

Give up, Its been like MONTHS.

This isnt so its gonna be added on zone, Its to help you make better weps. Learn from it, and start a new better more unique idea.

It failed from the start... Way too lego-like, so chunky, quite ugly to be honest. Although the detail is good, the actual outline looks like a 3 yr olds drawing of his favourite oversized power ranger toy gun.

Edit: I'm being too harsh. A 3 1/2 yr old's drawing.

Zone is set in a futuristic world. Now, look at guns today, do you see HUGE guns that look like a chisel has been taken to a block of wood?
No.

The fact is, imagine a laser gun, it's not going to be a big block with a some kind of bright red marker beacon on the front.

It's going to be small, subtle and look futuristic. You don't see mobile phones getting bigger do you? They all seem to be getting smaller, in the future, The mobile phone may not even have to be held, just placed in the ear etc

So scarp this block-work, and make a smooth, subtle and eye pleasing metallic laser gun.

A few things:

1. You're repeating what everyone else has been saying this whole thread.
2. I'm interested to see what your idea of a "realistic" gun for zone would be. Could you perhaps design one or show us one of your previous works so we can see what you mean?
