Thefts and scams?

So seriously, why am I having to deal with someone getting some item stolen or "scammed" every day now? Is it too much to ask to have some general rules or notifications on GK??

And what is up with the server?? If it wasnt bad enough, soon as they see you drop the item the run to it, and the other person can't grab it until the serer stops lagging, by the time it does someone else gets there and has a chance to grab the item your trying to give to someone else.

Granted I care less about diamonds, but others use them to trade for things...

I'd say more but I just want some opinions on what should be done with these people that are not being nice to the newer people.

Besides you didn't notice, there is. We do not resotre scammed items except there was a bug abused to scamm the item by creating a new one.
But if you get scammed and can provide some propper proof we can sure ban the scammer.

Yeah people need to get proof to you but they can't always Bjorn. Yesterday MechEagle scammed someone of 35 diamonds using that stupid fishing rod bug and I had to tell him that unless he had proof (screenshot) that nothing could be done.

Its kinda sad that this has to be true and in fact I don't trust screenshots. They can be altered. Seen a example of it on Zone. Was really well done. Basically what your doing Bjorn is showing the server that your not willing to help unless they give proof.

Well i guess its good in a way then everyone won't run to you claiming false stuff but Scamming has run rampant on the server. Its time to reinstate the GP's again. Its time for people like MechEagle and Seeya to stop being able to get away with scamming.

There are trading tables on GK, so why are you dropping stuff on the ground? You can't expect everyone to yield while you trade without using the proper trading utilities.

Tig even if people use the trade tables scamming is still possible and does happen. But again nothing will happen unless you have proof to give to staff.

There is no bug with the fishing rod. You can put everything on it and throw it away. People know that. If people don't rightclick and check what's on the table I can't help them.

We can't have a solution for every single mistake a player makes. If someone can't accept the own mistakes they made then they should learn it. Next time they will be more carefully.

No I never said to just believe them but you should be doing more. Bring back the GP's so they can keep a eye out. Because new people don't know that they should have proof if they get scammed. its unfair to them don't you think?

If you don't take a proof you actually have to belive what they say and do something on their word. If you don't go with it that way you will need to have a proof. There is no other soltion. This or that.

I agree, tables are the safest and best form of trading, there are obvious and easy steps every player should take to avoid being scammed on the tables, one of which is actually right clicking to see what the person has placed on the table.

Proof is hard to get and the easiest form of proof to get, is a screenshot, which isn't reliable as editing is easy and widespread these days, but there is the video recording (alt+6) so if someone is worried about being scammed, start recording the trade...

If you do not make any stupid decisions, which are listed in the rules written by Sam and Björn about scamming in 'Graal Kingdoms > Information' forum, you will not get scammed.
1) Don't let people borrow stuff.
2) Don't cross server trade.
3) Don't USD.

that was me. Honestly I don't think theres much chance of me playing gk. Its not very friendly to new users. Thats probaly a big part in why the server has a low playercount.

No they don't thats the problem. They don't know that what a fishing rod is and a lot of people are scammed out of there stuff. You're right, but logs can't be altered. They need to log more stuff, with more information, and remove some features, like you're only able to bait stuff on a fishing rod that has (food +) in it's stats. They can also lock spell icons to be spells only... it wouldn't be very hard to fix numerous amounts of scamming problems without creating other problems.

I think it's mainly in case someone finds some sort of duplication bug using trade tables or there is a massive bug with what people are using trade tables for, then they can use it as proof to restore what's been lost, but usually GraalOnline only restores items that have been lost due to a massive bug that affected a lot of people.

Maybe post a sign with some general guideline to not get scammed in the trade rooms. Personally I don't see what the problem is, just be smart and cautious. Is it really that hard?

I don't know how some of the weapons and armour that are considered to be '1337', in it's effects/bonuses would work for item crafting at the moment. I believe we still need to see new monsters for item crafting to be fully realised, as there aren't many monsters, or any that are considered hard enough, to give ingredients, or directly drop some of the '1337' rare items around today.

I play graal kingdoms BECAUSE of the exclusive and unique items.

it makes me want to get them, i have a graal-dream to get that unique item, no one else has.

This game used to be about nations, their history, their culture, and of course my favorite WAR.

I continue to attempt to bring this game back to it's roots and every time I do you all have to unite and try to drive me out again. I think it is because you are all just simply that bored. However, maybe try fighting yourselves for once? It would be nice when I can kick back and watch a nice big fight without being the epicenter of the whole thing.

As for projects, without someone on debug who knows what needs done because they have played it for years, this server will never be properly focused on the correct projects to make it fun again.

Hell, make a new GK and give Tig manager of it. I bet you it would give you record amounts of newcomers within the opening week and stay fun. He knows just about as much about GK as I do, and has been playing it about as long. With a population of about 30 every day, what do you really have to lose from allowing him to finally have a chance at making something happen?

Of course, you can continue to ignore the good ideas and suggestions of the subscribing players who pay and fund this company. And eventually just be forced out of the market due to lack of profit to even pay for your own bandwidth. - What graal decides anymore does not matter to me, I have plenty of way more fun games I play. Not to mention the things I have irl to do. Oh, well, good luck with your boring game that could have made you millions.

Yes, Bosh, please be a jerk and don't try to create roleplaying conflict on a server created for the intention of roleplaying, with an overworld island shceme built based on roleplaying groups, and in need of quality roleplaying.

Ideas such as these are what destroy the nature of Graal's pay-for servers.


My 2 cents:
Bosh should be allowed to opress the whole "world" if he wants/can, make himself a God, do countless ridiculous things like that, as long as the roleplaying is in good quality. But maybe we should see people start RPing before we worry about the quality of their RP...
